We Have More!

I have a few new products to blog about so far this week. We have the newest lines from SEI. There are adorable floral papers and bright spring/summer colors from their newest lines like Corinne and Couture. We also have a new exclusive line (could be used for weddings, Easter, Spring, etc.) from We R Memory Keepers. Tres Elegant is full of muted earthtones... beautiful. On the topic of We R, we finally got an order of Sew Easy tools in! The good news: there were a couple tools left, as well as piercing mats and tons of floss. The bad news: All of the heads have already been spoken for (before they even hit the shelf). But don't worry - we've had more on order, and should be getting them in soon.

We also got a box from Melissa Frances. Her new papers and embellishments have arrived. She even released a set of broaches, which you could really use on anything, that are just gorgeous - cameos and bling! Let's see... what else? Today we received the new QuicKutz dies! Theron, our rep, was out last week and shared the new dies, as well as some letterpress techniques. Those who requested dies will be getting phone calls soon if you're product was already on pre-order. We should be receiving the rest soon.

Last, but certainly not least, we now have Pink Paislee! This is a hot one, ladies! There are papers and embellishments from Daily Junque, Soiree, Hometown Summer and Butterfly Garden. The girls were still working on putting it in the computer when I left this afternoon. It should be out by tomorrow for you to enjoy!

Mini Memories

I have always loved mini albums. They're a perfect way to highlight one small memory; a trip, a birthday, a day in your life. And they're not nearly as taxing as scrapbooking your entire family history. So, when I saw the new, adorable mini albums from the My Minds Eye Lush line, I had to give one a try. There are four new colors: orange (my personal favorite!), hot pink, turquoise and navy blue. Their colors are rich and vibrant. And, of course, MME has made tons of coordinating accessories: paper, brads, gems, ribbon, and even a journaling pad compliment the Lush line. So I scooped up some pictures from a recent trip to San Antonio with my daughter Tess, added a few word stickers from KI Memories and some terrific Sassafras chipboard flowers, and I was off! In just one evening, I was able to complete an entire 10-page 8"x8" mini album commemorating our trip. If you need a little gift or just want to emphasize one special occasion, give these terrific mini albums a try. In no time at all, you'll be able to create your own luscious, mini masterpiece.

New from Bazzill

We know Bazzill for their high quality solid cardstock. But they've always tried new products, and we just received our order of new releases. We now have black board in four different sizes. I've never seen chipboard so thick! It's about double the thickness of one thick chipboard sheet. These would be great for book covers.

There's also an assortment of embellishments, like new flowers and metal keys - so cool! Plus, I can't forget the Splat Mat, Sr. Yes, this 25"x15" mat is heat-resistant, thicker than previous mats, and offers a whole lot more workspace coverage!

Glitz it Up!

We have so many boxes in the foyer at the store it seems to be taking over. The UPS driver even told us if we get any more boxes, he's going to start stacking them outside! He was kidding, of course, so don't get any ideas! :) There are tons of new products to be put in the computer still, so I'll update you on what we've already complted.

Glitz is here! I absolutely love all three of the new lines. There are papers, stickers and embellishments for each. Afternoon Muse, Laced with Grace and Love Games are three remarkable lines, especially for those who like the vintage look.

We also have new stamps and embossing powder sets from Stampendous! Their new Jumbo Cling sets are amazing (Cindy already bought one for herself as she was putting them out). There's a new jumbo (thin) stamp block that they fit on perfectly.

Warm memories on a cold day!

I can't believe its been almost 2 months since CHA - which also means 2 months since I felt the nice warm sun! We did get a little peek at some spring weather this weekend - and now I can't wait any longer!!! Come on spring :)

Since we don't have any sun here today I thought I would share some sunny layouts! All of the pictures from our first day in California for CHA.

This Echo Park - For the Record paper is super versatile! The colors are bright and fun. Mixed with the black and red the yellow really pops. I know all of the design team girls have been having a lot of fun with this paper. I actually bought some more this weekend!!!

(sorry for the sideways pic !!!)

When the sun is shining you need a good pair of shades......
Lots of new goodies in this layout. My Minds Eye paper and stamps, Crate Paper border stickers, Maya Road canvas banner!!
Here is a detail shot. Love this banner!!! Its hard to tell but I stamped on the canvas using the new banner stamp set from Hero Arts. Although I am not much of a stamper - I have really gotten into it with all the great stamps this release (and some help from Angela!)

Make sure you check back here on the blog for all the updates as new products keep rolling in. I am surprised at how fast some of my wish list items have been selling out!!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Oh, there's more!

We received the new dies from Spellbinders, including those designed by Donna Salazar! There are regular dies as well as some new small ones, and Grand Nestabilities!

We also have a new line of state papers that are so versatile. Scrapbook Customs did a great job with these neutral-colored, double-sided papers for every state (and Ontario!). Be sure to check them out if you're working on your travel pages.

7 Gypsies... We have more!

We received a nice box from 7 Gypsies today, and it's full of Apothecary Jars and stickers, tissue paper (wonderful for making your own vintage flowers), tons of tags, book covers, some Camden items and more. I think you'll like what you see!

Want to Learn More about Letterpress and Die Cutting?

Join us on this Wed 3/23 at 6:30pm. Theron, our rep from QuicKutz/Lifestyle Crafts, will be visiting here from Utah. He'll have demos and make & takes that you won't want to miss! It doesn't matter which manual die-cutting system you have (or whether or not you even have one). This is a great free event to learn more about dies and what creative things you can do with them.

Just bring yourself and have some fun with us... See you there!

Love the Fancy Pants!

Fancy Pants' newest line, It's the Little Things, is one of my favorites! I think it's the colors that really catch my eye. You can see for yourself... should be on the shelf by Sunday. Super cute stuff, ladies!

We had a crazy, fun weekend at the store. Our overnight crop took place Friday, with some participants hanging out until 6am. We started it up again Saturday with another League Party. We had croppers in from Colorado Springs, Canada and Ohio... a travelin' scrappin' weekend, for sure!

Finally... GCD Studios

We've had this poor box sitting in the foyer since maybe last week? We've tried to get to it, but were just working our way through the boxes. It's finally in the computer, and should be out for everyone to see tomorrow. They released the newest collections from Melody Ross, Donna Salazar and more. I think you'll really like what they have... stop by to check it out before it disappears.

New Tim Holtz Product Class Added

Many of you have asked about the Ranger 6x6 canvas pieces at the store, so I put together the Tim Holtz canvas as a class! Join me on Tues 4/5 at 6pm to recreate this funky, fun piece of art using the latest from Ranger, Sizzix and Tim's Idea-ology line. For complete class details, visit the class page online.

Hero Arts Stamp of the Week Program

I'm excited to be carrying the featured Hero Arts Stamps of the Week! Each week, we'll be featuring a new stamp - it could be a wood-mount stamp, an acrylic set or a cling. We'll offer you a special deal for purchasing the stamp of the week... just stop in to check it out! This week's featured stamp: Birthday cling set!

You're In Luck!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to ya'! I've got my green on today, as well as my little Lucky Brownie pin (well, it came from Scotland, but close). We've got so much more new product in the store! I know, I'm slacking a little in the blogging department. I had birthday planning responsibilities and sick children. But no more excuses... here's what we've opened and put out so far.

I came across a few items in the store that slipped past my radar. The new Core'dinations stacks are in, like the ones that pair with Jillibean Soup and Jenni Bowlin! Speaking of the latter, we now have the newest Jenni Bowlin line, too! Be Our Guest is a great vintage line, and includes some small wooden spools, mini scalloped tins and more! These would be great for some fun, altered vintage projects.

We have a bunch of Tim Holtz' new stuff from the Idea-ology line, like the Crowded Attic Paper Stash and Stickers, a bunch of trinkets - oh yeah! We're still waiting on some of the other items from his newest release, but it's coming in slowly but surely.

We received several themed papers and stickers from Creative Imaginations. There are some for your super hero, your trip to the beach, and some from the IOD line (think Prima girls). Elizabeth Park is the newest collection from Little Yellow Bicycle, and we're working on getting that out on the shelf today. It's perfect for Spring, which couldn't be here soon enough.

Flowers in a zip

OK, I know... Really hokey, huh? Fawn, the flower fanatic here, and working with this new Maya Road zipper ribbon was so much fun that I couldn't resist at least one silly pun about zippers. But seriously, have you seen this stuff at the store yet? It's a blast! For only $1.99/yard (well, when separated, you actually get TWO yards!) you can make these adorable flowers in just minutes. To make the 5 petal flower in the background, I cut 5 pieces of zipper each 3" long. I angled the ends of the fabric portions and then placed them on a bed of glue dots to form the flower. And the circular flower in the foreground was even easier! I placed glue dots in a 3" circle and began to spiral the zipper at the outer edge. The zipper lays flat and covers the center of the flowers nicely, so there really isn't a need for the center button, but I wanted a bit of contrasting color. This new zipper ribbon comes in five great colors: black, white, brown, pink and blue. Zip on in to grab yours today!

Whoa... Hold the Phone!

Well, the phones were ringing off the hook today. The delivery drivers each made an appearance. The boxes filled the foyer, and there were customers peeking in the boxes as best they could! Yes, it was a crazy day!

Here's what our friends in the big trucks brought... We have the newest clings from Unity Stamps, including their stamps which coordinate with Cosmo Cricket, Jillibean Soup, Webster's Pages and more! We got a couple new Hero Arts stamps as well. There are also new clear stamps from Technique Tuesday - these include Ali's stamps among many other super cool ones!

Studio Calico is here! I love the State Fair line, and Countryside is so fun! The new lines from Crate Paper are on the shelf - we LOVE these!

We also received the three new collections from Cosmo Cricket! There is Salt Air, Social Club and UpCycle. The only bummer is there are no Glubers yet (hold tight, we will definitely have them once they're available).

We have new stickers and fillable wands (like the tube - but think gifts for the little girls) from SRM. Plus, a Creative Imaginations order snuck in this week... I saw someone bring up the Peeps stickers today (yes, the edible ones) - there's paper to match! A couple of Tim Holtz' items from Sizzix arrived - an embossing folder and a couple dies, but we're still waiting for the majority of it. There's still one other special box waiting to be opened... I'll save that news for tomorrow!

Know when to fold 'em!

Hi all!
It's Angela from the Design Team, here with a couple projects using some new goodies from Scrappy Chic!

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of Sassafras's designs -- I love the bold use of color and whimsical sense of design! With their latest lines, they've added a new kind of embellishment, one I don't think I've seen anywhere before: Foldies!  Here, let me show you a card:

I simply punched out a flower cluster from the 12x12 sheet of foldies, folded up the little tabs, and adhered it to my card front, curving it to fit just the way I wanted it to. I also added some letter stickers from Echo Park's latest collection (love that one, too!). There's dimensional adhesive under the flowers, but that's just a precaution -- the folds themselves give a nice (but still mailable) depth.

I used another on a layout -- wanna see? Ok:

Aww, sweet cat :). Here, the flower cluster is folded and layered over some other Sassafras papers and banner stickers, as well as my photos. Again, the little folded tabs allowed me to curve the cluster just the way I wanted it. Added bonus: it has a lovely, fabric-like look to it, even though it's plain old paper.

I hope you give this new embellishment a try! Have a delightful day.

Other Supplies: Card -- Lilybee paper, Hero Arts background stamp. Layout -- Sassafras Starters and Sweetly Smitten papers, Doodlebug and Cosmo Cricket alphas, Girls' Paperie label holder, MME Lush brad, MME Stella & Rose stamps, Pink Paislee tape, vintage typewriter.
