Tools, Vintage Findings and more this week!

We've already received a couple large deliveries this week, including Making Memories' new Vintage Findings line! There are tons of embellishment packs full of vintage goodness! The paper is also amazing - you'll want to check out this line!

We have a few new mini album kits from Tattered Angels. The Halloween and Fall ones are gorgeous - they come with everything you need (including fake spiders and thule) for under $35! I think I also forgot to mention last week that we have Bazzill's new Heritage collection - this line of papers is designed for heritage books - family tree pages and more, all in a rich cream color!

Some boxes from We R Memory Keepers arrived today, and I took a peek... we have the new shaped Corner Chompers! We also got the new Twist Trimmer. This is the product I was telling some of you about - it's a straight-edge paper trimmer with a ton of different cutting effects, all in one at a great price! Plus, I can't forget their new super-adorable Christmas line! We should have these out by the end of the week.

Gypsy News

Did you know you can pre-order your own Gypsy for the Cricut at Scrappy Chic? So you're bummed they sold out on HSN, and you'd rather shop local than Michael's (and wait in lines)? What a better way to get your own Gypsy, get a discount (remember, loyalty rewards will earn you about $12 back on your Gypsy), and keep your money local! We are now accepting pre-orders for the Gypsy, which comes with 2 pre-loaded cartridges, at $299.99! To pre-order yours, just pre-pay for your machine, and we'll contact you the day it arrives! They will be available on a first pre-order, first served basis. You can even do your pre-order over the phone with a credit card - easy peasy! To find out what the Gypsy can do for you and your Cricut, visit http://www.cricut.com/gypsy/.

Great Deals from Colorbok!

We have a couple lines from Colorbok we just added that are priced just right! Ripe Berry is full of rich berry colors, complete with paper, tons of embellishments, and fruity goodness. School Life has good timing and offers a wide variety of embellishments for those back-to-school pages! Most of the embellishments are under $3 so you can get more bang for your buck!

We got the Basic Grey out!

Yes, it's on the shelf. Mary and I, in a team effort, made enough space and put all the new Basic Grey in the computer. It was a busy morning, but all of the beautiful papers and embellishments from the Indian Summer, Eerie and Eskimo Kisses lines are ready! I think you'll love these releases - there's something for everyone, including the new Card Kits, Do Me a Favor sets and 2010 Calendars! Get 'em while they're here... Now if we could just get that Nook & Pantry line (any day; I'll try to be more patient). Enjoy!

Donna Downey is Teaching at Scrappy Chic!

We are fortunate to have Donna Downey coming to teach at Scrappy Chic this Fall! She'll be teaching four classes over the weekend of November 6th-8th. We may adjust the times of the classes a bit, but not by much. Here's what Donna will be teaching...

Fri 11/6: Bloom Mixed Media Album, 6-9p
Sat 11/7: Celebrate Life 2-page layout, 1-2p
Sat 11/7: Fabric Scrapbooking, 4-9p
Sun 11/8: Swatches, 12-4p

For complete class details, check out the November calendar on our website at http://www.scrappychiclivonia.com/. I know sometimes it's hard to choose which class(es) you want to take, so I'm offering a $10 store gift card to those taking more than one of these classes. Gift cards will be available for pickup after 11/5/09.

The Gang

I took the girls out to Bahama Breeze for dinner last night to celebrate their hard work over the last year. I'm so proud of them! Anyway, we got a great shot of us at the restaurant, so I thought I'd share. Meanwhile, back at the store, Meagan was buried underneath all of the paper that came in this week. Be sure to stop in and check out what's new. We are anticipating more new arrivals this week (including the much-anticipated Basic Grey), so stay tuned for more updates!

Now Hiring

I'm looking to hire someone part-time (long term) for evenings/weekends. I'd like to find someone who has no problem working the super-fun Friday night shift, and has the flexibility to work other shifts in the evenings or other weekend days. It would be about 2 days/week, give or take.

Here are the bare minimums: Candidates must be friendly, even-tempered, outgoing, work well with others, be reliable, be quick learners, good with computers (Word, Excel, Windows-based programs), customer service experience, be friendly, nice, kind, etc. (you get the idea).

Here's what helps, but isn't mandatory: Good scrapbooking knowledge base (we can teach), retail sales experience, cash handling experience, likes to shop at the store (just kidding, maybe).

Here's what to do: If you're interested (and serious, please), go to our our website, http://www.scrappychiclivonia.com/, click on Employment, and you can download an application to print and fill out. You can email, mail or drop off (I prefer the latter) your completed application to the store. Working at Scrappy Chic gives employees the opportunity to learn more about crafting as well as share their passion for the craft to others (and the employee discount comes in handy, too).

Brand New from Bella Blvd!

Lots of Bs there... lots of adorable papers here! Two new lines from Bella Blvd are Super Stud, full of robots, cyber kisses (xoxo) and more, as well as Camped Out (5 out of 5 on the cute scale). You can check them out when you're in seeing all of the other new stuff we can't get out fast enough.

We R Memory Keepers, Imaginisce & Tattered Angels are here, too!

I'm telling you, this flood of new products is relentless. Don't get me wrong, we love new products, but we are struggling to keep up - we're changing out the new product displays about every other day! I guess you'll just have to stop in every other day to see what's new, right? :) Anway, we have two new lines from We R Memory Keepers perfect for teens and boys! Teen Angst reminds me of MTV in the early 90s! Geo-Hectic is great for gear-heads, boys with gadgets and more. There's even self-adhesive foil borders with gears, tools and more!
Imaginisce arrived, and I saw two lines in the box - Let's Roll (adorable) and Perfectly Posh (very girly, great $1 stamps). Let's roll was a personal favorite of mine at CHA, so I'm glad it's here (I'll be using it on some pages for my son).
There's also a box here from Tattered Angels. We'll have it open and out tonight, but I'm pretty sure it's the new Album Kits - so creative!

Tim Holtz, 7 Gypsies - tons of goodies!

We received some amazing ATC and grungy products this week from Tim Holtz & 7 Gypsies. We are so excited to have the new Film Strip Ribbon, Typewriter Charms & Mask Sheets (to make your own masks), as well as sanding block refills from Tim. We also have the new ATC/Photo Spinner from 7 Gypsies, as well as the new Victoria and Barcelona paper lines, Binderie punches, ATC goodies and more! I know these products won't last long (especially since people were buying them out of the boxes before we even put them out), so get yours while they're here!

Fancy Pants, please...

It's what we love to scrapbook with! There are 5 (count 'em - 5) new lines from Fancy Pants! The lines include Rough & Tumble, Dancing Girl, Trick or Treat, Christmas Magic and Little Sprout. Each of the lines sports some amazing papers (as Fancy Pants always does), embellishments and Glitter Cuts (we all love these). We should have this out on the shelf by tomorrow!

We LOVE Sassafras!

The new Sassafras lines came in yesterday, and are already on the shelf! We have Amplify, Sweet Marmalade (part of the Life is Sweet collection) and Monstrosity - I love this one! Stop in and check them out... they all have the decorative borders you can cut off and add as a border to your pages (nice!), and classic Sassafras style!

Doodlebug is Here

We put in some of the new Doodlebug products tonight. We have the new Halloween line (love the glittered border stickers). There's a new line of title stickers and quote rub-ons, only $0.75-$1.49 each! They are adorable, and cover almost every subject there is! The girls worked hard trying to fit them onto a rack; there are so many (good try girls) for you to enjoy.

New, New, New!

Here we are again - a recap of the week so far: We received the new Pink Paislee lines, Amber Road and Twilight. These are two of my favorites from CHA (might be yours, too). Amber Road has a beautiful color mix of deep red and soft aqua for Fall. Twilight is an amazing Halloween line, no doubt.

We also received more to the new wedding line called Mr. & Mrs. If you liked the Ancestry shimmer line from ANW Crestwood, you'll love this! Soft, shimmery pearl and beige colors with a little varnish, foil, beautiful flourishes, perfect for a wedding or anniversary project!

Back to School!

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Labor Day. Good luck to all of you who are parents! We're getting anxious around our house for school to start tomorrow. My oldest will be starting kindergarten tomorrow, and the other will be in a new preschool. It never fails - my camera battery is running low, and I know I'll need to take about 100 pictures tomorrow (at least, right?). Now if I could just find those AA batteries around here somewhere... Enjoy the moment, take enough pictures to make it last, no matter what grade they're going into, then scrapbook it!

To Add to it...

We have several new lines that came in this week. Yes, the manufacturers must have had a conspiracy to bury the store in boxes these last few weeks! I almost had to add a third section of new products to the newsletter going out today! Here are some other items we put out the last couple days...

The Making Memories Pink Slice ($174.99 retail, a portion of which is a donation, sorry no coupons), new MS+ Design Cards and Holiday line all arrived. I know a lot of you have been waiting for the new cards, which now cut shadows and mirror images! They work in both the original and new Pink Slice machines! We got all the Bo Bunny out last night - several lines - and it's all gorgeous! I especially love the vintage Christmas line. The croppers were drooling (and pawing) over the new Prima bling and flowers that came in. I'm not kidding - these things are so amazing, we ordered almost every single bling item they offered! The new stitched paper and canvas products are adorable, too. We're also working on getting out the new Little Yellow Bicycle Trick or Treat line - this one's great, too!

We look forward to the weekends these days, not to have some down time, but to finally catch up on getting the orders in. I've never seen so much stuff ship all at the same time!

QuicKutz Holiday Dies are here!

These adorable dies are so versatile! We have the new Holiday Mini 4x8 alphabets, as well as some other holiday dies, like ornaments, trees, Hanukkah and more! Get yours while they're in stock!

In with the New...

Again! We have new papers from Scrap Within Reach - the Carnival and Paper Boy lines are adorable! You can tell this is a company that's headed in the right direction with their design. We also received the new Halloween, holiday and school lines from Creative Imaginations. I'm very excited about their new school papers - one for each of the lower grades!

Carolyn Gavin is a designer for K & Company, and her products are whimsy and fun, fun, fun. We have her album, papers and embellishments, which are sure to be a hit with those girl pages. The updated Girl and Boy Scout products are arriving as well. The new Scout lines from K & Co. are modern, fresh and oh so cute!
