Design Team Note

Our cup runneth over with new products, so we asked Jan Lipscomb to be a guest Design Team member for September. She created some amazing projects to add to our DT gallery! Our online gallery is up-to-date with all of the girls' latest creations. If you haven't checked it out lately, I highly recommend you do! Visit the gallery on our website to see for yourself.

True Story...

This morning, as I was getting ready, I was trying to think of a sensational title for today's blog post. Oddly enough, I thought of this... "OMG, Becky, look at her flowers! There are so many..." For those who grew up in the 80s, you may recognize this from one funky song. Oddly enough, when I was putting more of the Prima flowers in the computer, the song started playing on the radio! Of course, they weren't talking about flowers. But I am! There are tons (and I mean tons) of Prima flowers to choose from. Of course, there's beautiful paper and other extras, like bling and masks - even 'scrapbook jewelry' - to choose from. But you've got to check it out! It looks like we're still waiting on a couple paper lines and some other products from Prima, but this is the majority of it.

Last Week's Catch-Up

I tried blogging our arrivals from last week, but had some Blogger issues... so here's a catch-up for those who haven't been in. Fair warning... this is a long one!

We have new Thickers from American Crafts, including a few from the Dear Lizzy line! They're just a little sparkly, not too much... just how I like 'em! We also have the new Dino-Roar line from Imaginisce. Talk about a cute dino line - plaid dinosaurs rock! If you like this, then you might be interested in Dino-Chores Chart class I'm teaching with this adorable line!

We have new bling from Zva (a new company to our store), new themed papers from Scrapbook Customs, including more sports, family and travel (especially tropical and Michigan). We also received additional baby and pet embellishments from Pebbles - too cute!

The newest holiday line arrived from We R Memory Keepers, called White Christmas. This line is an independent retailer exclusive collection - you won't find it at the big box stores, and it's adorable! The 7 Gypsies Library Drawers (and a few other items) came in last week. These drawers are perfect for altered projects, home decor, altered gifts, you name it!

Studio Calico's new line, Elementary, is tops on my list of favorites. This twist on a school line is on the shelf... perfect for scrapbooking the kids' beginning of school photos!

Lily Bee's three new lines are also in stock - Domestic Bliss (think recipe books), Catching Fall and Christmas Town are all super cute (took them home tonight, in fact)!

For those working on their family albums (and those who want to), you'll be happy to know we have a new collection of heritage papers from Paper Loft. For the Record and Serendipity are perfect for heritage albums, wall hangings and more! You'll find them in our newly arranged family and heritage section!

We just received 8 boxes today from Advantus. That means.... Tim Holtz, Girls' Paperie and Cropper Hopper! I wish we had everything we ordered, but it looks like some of it is still caught up in production. So we have his two new paper tapes (Hobgoblin and Tidings), Baubles, Facets, Accoutrements, and Charm Clips. From Girls' Paperie, we have Margie's new lines - Toil & Trouble and Tinsel & Twig. I especially like her Halloween line! Look for these two new lines this week in the branded section.

We also have several new magazines in stock: Bead Trends, Cards, and the latest Creating Keepsakes Special Issue. Check them out next time you're in!

Ok, now as a reward for those of you who made it to the end of this lengthy blog post, please print this paragraph and bring it in to take and extra 20% off clearance merchandise! This offer is valid until 10/3/10!

October Afternoon Snuck In

I didn't even know it arrived! I think they girls may have hid it from me so I wouldn't take it all home myself... No, really - October Afternoon's new Seaside line was definitely one of our favorites of CHA this Summer. It's beautiful all around, and I just had to take one of everything home. I have a feeling it's going to go quickly, and I'll be reordering sooner than later.

We had some deliveries today, but weren't able to do much with them. If you didn't hear, we were without power all day. That storm really did a number on our area! We're hoping the power's restored tomorrow so we can get back to business... we have a fun Friday night to tend to! Thank you to those who shopped with us in the dark and experienced our 'old school' checkout. Your patience was amazing!

A Little Break

That's all we needed to catch up on the boxes! We did get a few new deliveries before the weekend. We have the new limited edition Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist colors in stock! Get 'em while they're hot!

We also have several new lines from Bo Bunny - all gorgeous! The girls have been working on getting them in the computer and out on the shelf. Look for those to be on display early this week. I love the school line (Cambridge) - perfect for that high school or college guy! But there are too many in this group to choose favorites.

We have a couple new jewelry-making lines that we're finishing up entering in the computer. Midnight Garden and Rebel Shine are very Twilight-esque. You can't go wrong with zipper jewelry, right?!

Sassafras is in the house...

We have two amazing, new lines from Sassafras Lass. Some of their more recent releases have been, admittedly, a little out there (cute, but out there). These last two, Mix & Mend and Count Me In, are a little more tame, and even cuter (if I do say so).

Mix and Mend is so fun - you'll find several dimensional-looking elements already on the paper, making it easier for you to create masterpieces! There's a warm burlap-y look to the papers, which makes them perfect for the not-so-perfect scrapper.

Count Me In is adorable - I found myself choosing papers that would be perfect for back-to-school pages for the kids. It's just in time. Both lines are out on the shelf... enjoy!
By the way, we're working on a bunch of new Bo Bunny products, which I'll update you on tomorrow.

We're Back!

For those of you with kids starting school this week, I hope everything goes smoothly for you. I had one start today, and the other starting tomorrow. We started out in our usually fashion... late! At least the teacher will get to know right away how we work. :)

Hopefully everyone had a great holiday weekend! I wanted to thank those of you who voted for us in WDIV's Vote 4 the Best contest. I just looked up the announcement dates, and it looks like we won't find out until September 20th where we ended up ranking. But I wanted to mention our appreciation for your support while it's fresh on my mind.

Hope to see you soon!

We have some other new products we're working on putting on the shelf this weekend:

There are 6 new Slice Design Cards from Making Memories! They are Turkey Daze, Applique Basics, Toil & Trouble, the Great Outdoors, Noel, Basic Shapes 2 & 3 (which were re-released with the MS+ features). They also sent us a full line of bling shapes and monograms that are only $1.99 each!

We also have new robots and rockets paper from Creative Imaginations, along with some new Fall papers (which I love). I'm working on getting the newsletter out today, so look for that in your inbox soon!

Basic Grey, Unity, Crate and More...

We started getting the Basic Grey lines in the computer. The three new arrivals are Jovial (holiday), Wander (travel - my favorite), and Pyrus, a very unique Fall line. We have the new 12x12 albums and a plethora of embellishments to accompany these amazing new collections. The next two Page of the Month kits are also in and ready to go!

Unity Stamp Co. partnered up with several different designers this time around, and the result is fantastic. We have new stamps from Unity designed by Cosmo Cricket, Melody Ross and more! They're on the shelf waiting for you to see...

Crate Paper arrived, and we have it ready (I know I picked mine out already). School Spirit is a great twist on the traditional school theme, and Restoration is amazing! Many of you have been waiting for this one... wait no longer.

There are a few new Cricut cartridges in this week. We have Toy Story, Simply Charmed and Boys Will be Boys. My kids were already cutting out shapes from the Toy Story cartridge at the store today... it's a great one!

There are many new Fall and Holiday stamps in stock right new; new ones from Inkadinkado, Crafty Secrets, Unity and more! Those looking to get a jump-start on their Holiday cards should take a look while the selection is fresh!
