40% Off Halloween!

Have you been in the store yet? We're offering 40% off select Halloween paper and embellishments! You can't miss it - the sale items are some of the first things you'll see when you come in. We've got a whole endcap of sale goodies for you, and it's current stuff! Plus, there are still Halloween goodies for good boys and girls (i.e. you). We're open until 10pm tonight for those who plan on doing some spooky scrappin'!

Melissa Frances Christmas and more!

If you like the vintage look of Melissa Frances paper, you'll love her new Christmas line! The papers have muted greens and reds, and a little blue... beautiful.

The new Prima Youth paper is out on the shelf, and I had to take one of everything home today - it's so boy! We also received a shipment from K & Co that everyone was oohing and ahhing over. The new line is called Cut & Paste, and it's all different textures, embossed, shimmer, a mixture of everything cool (yet vintage). Check it out next time you're in!

Now, Cosmo Cricket is thinking ahead (maybe a little too early). We just ordered their new Valentine's line, Chemistry, but it already arrived! Yes, there is new Valentine paper in stock. Because it's Cosmo Cricket, it's ultra cute, so I don't mind.

Ali Stamps are here!

We just got the new Ali Edwards clear stamps from Technique Tuesday! I know there have been some requests for these, and they arrived so quickly! We'll have them out on the shelf for this weekend!

In the meantime, have a Happy Halloween!!!

New Hambly, Prima and 7 Gypsies

I was shocked to see new products arrive from Hambly and Prima, since they were ordered at the show back in July. But this isn't unusual. Some products just aren't ready until much later after the show, which is ok, because they're little surprises for us! Hambly sent new overlays and screenprinted papers (adorable). Prima sent us a variety of goodies including awesome guy paper and... well, you'll have to check it out yourself (it's not flowers).

We also reordered some popular 7 Gypsies books (the ones that sold out in a day or two), and we added new products I hope you'll love!

Life at the Pole is here!

Sassafras Lass' newest line, Life at the Pole, is here (and is adorable!). Those who adore Sassafras Lass products in general will find no exception with this one - abominable snowmen anyone?

Is there enough Slice to go around?

More Making Memories Slice products arrived yesterday, including additional machines (we're going through the list first), as well as storage bags, new cartridges, spatulas, and their very cool desktop storage unit. We also received the new paper packs, which are designed for the Slice, but would be cool to use on their own. Some of their transparencies are (dare I say) more beautiful than many others I've seen! You'll have to see for yourself.

Another Page Kit

Our first October 2-page kit sold out quickly, so I made up another. Check out this 'Giving Thanks' 2-page layout (the colors look better in person). Each kit contains all of the parts pictured for only $5! But supplies are limited, so if you're interested grab yours next time you're in!

Halloween Costumes

Several of you have asked about the Halloween costumes I made for the kids. We went to downtown Farmington for a little early trick or treating this weekend, so I thought I'd post a photo of them. They are characters from Yo Gabba Gabba (a kids show) - Jake is Plex (robot) and Olivia is Toodee (cat/dino?). I posted a pic from the show as reference in case you're not familiar. Enjoy!

New Cricut Cartridges

We now have the new Tinkerbell and Cars cartridges for the Cricut! They're both available for rent and purchase, and have some awesome characters! I made a large Lightning McQueen and Tinkerbell last night, and they look great (at least for my skill level at paper piecing).

Basic Grey (yes, more)!

We have the new Basic Grey Holiday line Wassail (a drink carolers would consume on a cold night, I believe), as well as their new calendar kits. All are adorable, and surely won't last, so get yours soon. I know I will!

Halloween Notes

Halloween is fast approaching, and I'm frantically trying to button up some last minute costume items (like making robot parts). It seems many of you are very busy as well, so I've decided to take a break next Friday. Instead of holding our regular crop plus on Fri 10/31, we're going to offer a regular crop (no food) from 10a-10p for only $8. If you're not doing anything special for Halloween, or even want to spend half the day, we'd love to see you. But we'll plan on closing early at 10pm that evening.

Kits

Well, the 2-page Halloween kit I made is sold out. But don't worry, I created a 'Giving Thanks' layout in its place, and they are available now in the store. Any suggestions for November's page kit(s)? Let me know what you think.

Distress Stickles anyone?

Tim Holtz' Distress Stickles are finally here! Application of Distress Stickles provides a thicker, bolder application than traditional Stickles. Plus, they coordinate with rest of his Distress line colors!
We also have the full line of Suze Weinberg Glitz Stickles! These bright colors have extra glitter to add lots of bling to your projects.
What an amazing collection of (not your average) glitter glue. You'll have to check these out next time you're in... enjoy!

A couple notes...

We received thew new Holiday line (very sweet) from Rusty Pickle! Mostly reds, this is a classic line we can all use!

Also, I wanted to mention I put together a card class for Mon 11/10 (and a repeat on 12/1). Create 4 different Holiday cards you can duplicate in any style! The class is only $16, and you'll use things like stitching, dry embossing, rub-ons, ribbon and more! Seats are limited, so sign up soon!

Slice it Up!

Our first batch of Slice machines arrived from Making Memories this week! We're very excited (as are many customers) since we've waited so long for them. The first shipment is already spoken for - those who pre-paid will get the first ones. But don't worry, we are expecting additional shipments of machines, hopefully in the near future. If you're interested in a Slice, feel free to stop in and try ours out. There are several Design Cards available so far, and we like what we see so far!

Christmas Magic is Here!

Sharon Anne's new Christmas Magic line from Little Yellow Bicycle arrived today! I'm very excited about this one... beautiful embellishments along with die-cut papers and more! I think you'll love it, too!

Weekend Crop Update

Well, I've made a change to the weekend crop. We will be doing a regular crop plus on Friday for $12, a Crop Plus on Saturday from 10a-10p for $14, and Sunday will be free. Those who already planned on attending the weekend crop will still be able to stay all weekend, just without breakfast and the large prize table we normally do. Count on an awesome dinner from Rocky's on both Friday and Saturday, and prizes & discounts both days. See you then!

Cricut Update

We just received several new Cricut items today, including the new Deep Cut Blade Sets! We also received some new cartridges: Wild Card (rental), Christmas, Basketball & Sans Serif Font Solutions Cartridges (for rental and purchase). We also received the new magnet material which works with the deep cut blade - how fun!

Cricut Club members get 15% off all Cricut products, including the new cartridges - membership has its benefits (and for only $30/year)!

New Crate Paper and Accucut Dies

I saw a box at the store that UPS just dropped off - it's from Crate Paper! I almost forgot we ordered this back in July, and it's finally here. They have three new lines and, without having time to open it before I left, I don't remember which papers we got. You'll just have to come in and see!

We also received a new selection of dies for our Accucut machine. You're going to love these! There are new card dies - some would make beautiful wedding invitations - as well as a huge scalloped 11 1/2" circle and more!

Weekend Crop is Near

Hey ladies... are you thinking of making a weekend of cropping? Join us Friday through Sunday, 10/24-26 for hours upon hours of scrapbooking and fun! There are still seats available, and your $65 fee includes two (amazing) dinners from Rocky's, two hot breakfasts, snacks, prizes, giveaways all weekend, and a contest. We give away some great prizes at our weekend crops, and the more people there are, the bigger the prizes! In the past, we've given away Crop In Style XXL Runners, Making Memories Runway Rollers, an iPod, and tons of other great packages of items. So gather up the gang (or come alone and plan to make new friends) and sign up to reserve your spot. Plus, for an additional $10, you can reserve an entire 8-foot table for yourself (i.e. your stuff). I hope to see you there!

Kits Still Available

We have some card kits left over from World Card-Making Day. Each card kit is only $1... sorry, the Christmas ones are gone. But there are several others to choose from! You can't beat that price, and each kit comes with all the ingredients you'll need for each card!

I've put together a Halloween page kit for October using a sketch from the newest Creating Keepsakes magazine. It was fun using the Cricut for this one. For $5, you get everything you need to complete this 2-page layout, but there are only a few left.

New K&Co is In!

We have the new Lotus line from Amy Butler (gorgeous!), including her new tabletop totes! We also received the new Life's Journey line from K & Co. If you are into vintage or heritage papers and embellishments at all, this is definitely for you!

CSI Update

Ok, I mentioned there would be additional information available today about the Crop Scene Investigation, so here it is... Scrappy Chic's project is one of the 12 finalists! Go to http://www.cropscene.com/ and vote for Scrappy Chic's CSI project! The photo doesn't do it justice, so I posted better photos here of the box on the project. The winner of this contest gets Free goodies for their store (ultimately for our customers), so please register and vote!

CSI: Crop Scene Investigation Underway

If you haven't already heard about this from me (or in your favorite scrapbooking magazine), we will be participating in a National scrapbooking event. On Sat 11/15, we'll be participating in EK Success' CSI event. We will be offering (get this) 300 Free make & takes! But to participate, you need to register at http://www.cropscene.com/. Choose Scrappy Chic as your store for the event, and plan on coming in on Saturday, November 15th. Plus, I will have an additional update on Monday that we'll be calling on you to assist us with (that could win tons of free goodies for our customers). Stay tuned!

Rusty Pickle Costume Party

It's finally here... and the photo doesn't do it justice (it's ultra cute). I can also confirm that the newest Basic Grey is here, and will be out by the weekend.

More new Goodies

Mary told me we received a bunch of new products today (although I had a feeling since the UPS guy told me he had a lot for us when I saw him at the bank). We have new Me & My Big Ideas and the rest of the new Basic Grey (Granola, anyone?!). I also saw a box of new Heidi Swapp & Tim Holtz products when I was there yesterday - Grungeboard books and black bling - how cool!

Yard Sale Summary

Wow! What a day! The yard sale was a huge success... aside from the lights not all working in the beginning there. We had so much space in the empty building it was amazing. There were so many people in there at one time, but it wasn't cramped. There were very few lines in the sale room, and we had tons of shoppers!

Sellers - your cards will be available on Tuesday morning. We still have some merchandise and tables to move back, and it was a late night tonight, but I'm proud of the teamwork today (including our guest helpers). We'll plan for our next sale for the middle to end of winter (we should be recovered from this one by then).

Yard Sale is almost here...

Just a reminder: our Scrapbook Yard Sale is this Sunday, 10/5, from noon to 5pm. There are still seller spots available. We have over 60 sellers this time around, and will be using a larger space for the sale. I'm very excited to see how many shoppers come through, as this is a much anticipated sale. If you'd like to sell your used (or new) less-than-favorite scrapbook supplies, and earn store credit, just give us a call to get a seller code. Hope to see you all there!

Her Highness has Arrived!

That's Imaginisce's Fairest of Tthem All line. Talk about princess paper! This gorgeous glitter line has everything a princess page would need. It's still in the box, but we're doing out best to get all the new stuff out as soon as we can - it's really pouring in!

MME Finally Arrived

It's been a long time waiting, but we finally got our new lines from My Mind's Eye. Laundry Line is a glamourous line of glimmer and shimmer, with some very cool rub-ons, crocheted flowers and stamps! Just Dreamy 2 is a bright, brilliant collection of colors and patterns with adorable die cuts. We also ordered some of their seasonal collection packs, like NightLight, Spooked and Snowed In (love them all!).

Free Exclusive Slice Design Card!

I forgot to mention... If you purchase a Making Memories Slice from Scrappy Chic, you'll receive a rebate form. Send it in to Making Memories, and you'll receive this exclusive Design Card! What's better than free?!

OMG! MM Slice is here!

Don't get too excited, it's just our store demo model. But I'm going to begin demonstrating the machine as early as tonight! It was a total surprise (especially since it came to my house). I knew we'd have a demo model coming soon, but didn't expect it this early.

On that note, we'll begin taking pre-orders on Slice whenever you're ready! The machine retails for $149.99 (don't forget about your loyalty rewards). Just stop on in (or give us a call) to pre-order yours! Slice on!

Bella Blvd. - a brand new company!

We just received the premiere release of Bella Blvd.'s two new lines! Family Tree and Pack Your Bags are adorable, and should be on the shelf on the next day or two. Very cute stuff!
