A Little Mega Meet Question

I'm looking for a couple trustworthy and outgoing people to work in our booth (and possibly elsewhere) during Mega Meet. I need to fill the following slots: Thursday 5/5 from 9am to 6pm and Friday 5/6 from 9am to 6pm. Keep in mind, you'd be on your feet most of the time, and you'd be selling your heart out for us. :) If you think you'd be up for it (serious inquiries only, please), then send me an email at chris@scrappychiclivonia.com with your availability and why you think you'd be a good fit for this opportunity. I'll send more details as needed. Thanks!

It's a New Week... New Stuff!

We have some new items in house... starting the week off strong! We received the new themed paper and embellishment lines from Karen Foster. They're full of summer fun, with themes like family reunion, water fun, picnics and graduation!

We also have new stamps from Hero Arts - some beautiful new cling sets, even the newest releases from Hero Arts & Basic Grey. They are the ones that pair with Lauderdale and Sweet Threads (love these).

The icing on the cake (for this week, at least) is the shipment that came from Sizzix. Yes - more Tim Holtz dies and embossing folders! Cindy's working on them as I type. Hopefully it'll all be in by tomorrow morning. If we've got you on our wish list for these items, you'll be getting a call soon!

More Sizzix, Echo Park, LYB

We just received a whole batch of Tim Holtz dies and embossing folders from Sizzix! They have been flying off the counter since we opened the box, but there still are more to choose from. We have Umbrella Man, Mini Paper Rosettes, several other dies and more. We received confirmation this morning that the remainder of the new dies and folders went out this morning, and we should have them in a few days.

We also have the newest line from Echo Park, Summer Days. This is a super fun, bright line that will work perfectly for whatever your summer plans are (if it ever gets here, right?). It's close to the counter when you come in, so be sure to check it out.

As I was leaving, the girls were working on the newest lines from Little Yellow Bicycle. Baby Saurus (for boys) and Tiny Princess (for the girls, of course) are both adorable baby lines we think you'll love. In LYB style, there are tons of embellishments to choose from. But remember, these lines are exclusive to independent stores, and are only available for a limited time. So be sure to get what you need while it's available, because it's a keeper!

Snow? Really?

That's ok... another day to stay in and scrap! Well, if you don't have to work today. How weird is this weather? Our weekend crop was a raging success - I don't think we've ever had that many people. It was a complete sell-out! I was so happy to see so much scrapbooking getting done! There were pages, cards, mini albums, even frog tins being made throughout the weekend... some serious creativity within our walls. Thanks to everyone who participated! We look forward to the next one in July... it'll hopefully be a little warmer by then. :)

It's a Pretty Week...

And I'm not just talking about outside! We've got some seriously pretty papers here. We just received some of our favorites. Webster's Pages is here with three new lines, all out on the shelf. I think Yacht Club is my favorite, but you be the judge.

We also have the newest from October Afternoon (always much anticipated). 5 & Dime is completely adorable, and I think we'll be selling through the stickers quickly (must get mine now).

There is a new shipment here from Hambly as well. I love the moustaches screenprint... Angela took some home already (and I'm thinking a couple of the other DT girls will want some for a certain photo from CHA of them with moustaches of their own). There are some great rub-ons from this release, too.

We have a few new Ali Edwards stamp sets from Technique Tuesday, all in the computer ready for you to peruse. Enjoy the weather today!

Butterfly Garden

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful spring weather we are having! Thought I would share a layout I recently finished using tons of new products. There is just so much great stuff right now... I want to use it all! This layout features paper from Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden collection.

The paper is so beautiful! I used products from lots of different manufacturers on this layout. The flowers are Maya Road, Crate Paper letters and label sticker, Basic Grey pearls, Prima pearl flourishes, twine, Cosmo Cricket butterflies (altered with ink)....

I even stamped and embossed the little envelope from Melissa Francis. So cute.
The petals are prima - they were white but I misted them with green spray and inked the edges in brown ink.

Thanks for stopping by! And if you want to get some of this line for yourself you better hurry-this line is selling out quick!

April Showers Bring...

We've certainly had more than our fair share of rain lately, haven't we? Well, the good news is that April showers bring May flowers! And here at Scrappy Chic, we can help you make a whole garden of flowers by May. Flowers from doilies. Flowers from paper petals. Flowers from scalloped circles. Flowers from circular paper. I've taught three previous flower classes and there are STILL more great flower techniques to try! On Wednesday April 27 from 6-9pm I'll be teaching another fabulous flower class. We'll learn FIVE new flower techniques (including the ones shown in this sneak peek photo) for just $25. We'll make three coordinating 12"x12" pages, all from the beautiful My Mind's Eye "Stella & Rose" collection. I've chosen the "Hazel" line which includes lovely coral, deep chocolate brown, turquoise, and sage green - perfect colors for cheerful flowers. You'll love these quick, easy layouts and will use the techniques over and over! Call today to join in the fun. See you soon, but until then - stay dry!

Tim Holtz is here!

We finally received the bulk of our shipment from Tim Holtz' new products, as well as Girls' Paperie! We're very excited about this... we have all of the new Idea-ology products from Tim - perfect for altered projects, you name it!

The new lines from Girls' Paperie are adorable. There's no mistaking her style, and we love it. The papers and embellishments were flying off the counter before they were even on the shelf. Be sure to check them out next time you're in!
