Sizzling Sizzix and More

Our shipment from Sizzix finally arrived, and we have the new products on the shelf!  There are tons of new dies from Tim Holtz and Brenda Walton, from Bigz to borders, embossing folders and stamp/die sets, and everything in between!  Plus, there's a new, less expensive machine in the market for card-makers, jewelry-makers, etc.  The SophistiCut is a smaller version of Sizzix's quality die-cutting machines, and will cut small, medium and border-sized original dies with ease.  For the time being, it's only available at independent retailers, like Scrappy Chic!

We also have two new collections from Authentique - Tradition and Natural.  Of course, they're both gorgeous!

FabScraps brings us some new farm- and garden-themed papers, on the shelf now.  Plus, we have four new collections from KaiserCraft, including a new Base Coat line, Christmas and more!

These manufacturers are keeping us busy, that's for sure!

Did that catch your attention?  I hope so, becuase I wanted to let you know that we have more to choose from than ever before in the store these days.  So much so, in fact, that the girls are telling me I'm ordering too much!  Keep in mind, I like this stuff as much as you do, and want to have it all.  Unfortunately, our store just can't hold it all.  Mary mentioned to me that we have 20 new Christmas lines... 20!  So, with that said, I encourage you to come in to Scrappy Chic and see what it looks like when we are FULL of good stuff!

By the way, I was able to get the American Crafts order in that I mentioned.  It's 9 new collections from American Crafts, Studio Calico and Crate Paper.  It's also all new collections (and mini collections) from Project Life!  Be sure to wander all the way to the back to find the Project Life wall!

Oh, and don't forget about our Beads Be Gone Sale this Sunday, 9/29, from noon to 4PM.  We're moving all of the old bead supplies we used to carry out of storage.  Everything must go at wholesale prices or less.  You won't want to miss out on these deals!  See you then!

My Visit to Inspiration Inn Bloom

Some of you saw my posts on Facebook about the scrapbooking bed & breakfast I visited last weekend.  I promised I'd share more after I got back, so here's the scoop...

Inspiration Inn Bloom is a 7,000+ square feet home in Oak Harbor, OH (25 miles SE of Toledo).  Depending on traffic, it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to drive there and, once you're in the country, it's pretty scenic, as far as cornfields go. :)  It's easy to pass by the house, since it's tucked away down a private road.

This beautiful house, which is made almost entirely of local wood (no, really, there aren't many painted walls), is perfect for a scrapbooking weekend getaway, by yourself or with the gang.  There are several themed rooms in the house, with accomodations from 2 to 8, over 20 beds total!  The house is very warm and welcoming, with a 3-story living room full of windows.  The enormous kitchen (which you only use on your own for snacks) offers plenty of space for your delicious meals to be prepared.  Kathy, who was filling in for Abby that weekend, did an amazing job of keeping us full.  There were others there from OH, but I was surprised to see one our our customers, Shannon Wroblewski.  She was there offering manis/pedis at the house (oh yes, there is a small spa in the house).  There are spots to crop at both ends of the house.  So there were a few of us on one end, and several others cropping at the other end of the house.

There was great company, tons of time for cropping (I didn't stay up too late, but I heard some of the girls stayed up until 4AM), and massages.  Yes, I did get some projects done - 50 pages to be exact.  It was enough time for me to catch back up to being behind where I was (does that make sense?), and enough relaxation to get me back on track for the week ahead.

I don't want to bore you with details, as this house speaks for itself.  If you're thinking of getting away to do a little scrapbooking for the weekend, check out their website at http://www.inspirationinnbloom.com/ for rates and availability.  I don't think you'll be disappointed.  Please let Abby know you heard about it from Scrappy Chic!  Until then, here are some pics of our weekend (several pics are from Shannon - thanks!).

What's Up this Week?

A lot is up, that's for sure!  Here's what's come in since I blogged last...

Recap Time...

It's been a busy week here at Scrappy Chic!  We wrapped up the scrapbooking yard sale this weekend, which was crazy busy, as usual.  Now we get back to business...  New stuff!

We have new dies and embossing folders from Lifestyle Crafts (QuicKutz) - these are the ones I blogged about!  Some of the new dies work perfectly with Project Life-style pages - words, card shapes, so cute - called Pocket Scrap!  We also have a bunch of new $1 stamps (both wood and clear) from Hampton Arts.

Plus, I think I forgot to mention we have the new 7 Gypsies Halloween line - back to their 7G style!  I also caught wind that new Maya Road arrived yesterday.  That will be on the shelf this week.

Have you 'liked' Scrappy Chic on Facebook?  If not, you may be missing out on some weekly specials we've started posting on Mondays.  I'd mosey on over there to see what the scoop is.  And, when you're coming into to pick up your yard sale gift card, be sure to check out what's new around the store.  See you soon!

More KaiserCraft

We have a new shipment of collections from KaiserCraft!  These crafty Australians bring us Santa's List, Christmas Carol and St. Nicholas...  Just in time for those of you who want to get a head start on your holiday cards.  There's a style for everyone.  Check them out on the endcap this week!

Did I Forget to Mention Bo Bunny?!

How is that possible?!  We have several new lines of papers and embellishments from Bo Bunny - all gorgeous!  We have Zip-A-Dee Doodle, Silver & Gold, Fright Delight, Elf Magic, The Avenues and Autumn Song.  Phew!  There wasn't enough room on the endcaps to show off these amazing collections, so you'll find them in the Bo Bunny aisle.

There are also a couple varieties of Kraft Wood stamp sets!  They're great alphabet sizes to add to your cute Bo Bunny pages.
