Ruby Rock-It is in the House!

Ruby Rock-It is a new company from Australia offering scrapbooking & cardmaking supplies. We saw them in January at the trade show, and knew they were onto something good. After waiting quite some time, we finally have their products in stock, and I'm hearing lots of good oohs and ahhs (including those from us girls putting them in the computer). Look for these goodies on the shelf this week!

Vote 4 Scrappy Chic!

It's that time of year again... when we ask you to support Scrappy Chic by voting for us in WDIV's Vote 4 the Best contest! They changed up the categories a little this year, which is fine by me. :) You can find us in the Shopping/Scrapbooking Stores category. You can only vote once per email address, but can surely forward the info to your friends to do the same. Thanks for supporting Scrappy Chic... our customers are why we do what we do! To vote, click here to be taken to WDIV's site.

Pitter Patter Contest

We love Making Memories, and their newest baby line, Pitter Patter, is no exception. I would like to challenge you to a contest... of the baby variety! Create any type of page or project using Making Memories' Pitter Patter line (must be primarily this line, but can use other products with it). Do your best to make it fun and unique, and turn it in or email a photo of it to chris@scrappychiclivonia.com (please condense photos if they are large files). The staff will vote on the entries, and we'll choose 2 winners who will score some awesome goodies - one who will win boy goodies, and one girl goodies! The deadline for entries is Sun 7/11. Good luck!

Oh my gosh...

I'm not one who normally has time to look into what's coming out soon for scrapbooking. I normally see it all and order at the trade shows we go to. But I just saw what Graphic 45 is coming out with for Halloween, and I'm in awe. It's called Halloween in Wonderland, and it is going to blow their previous papers out of the water. It should be available next month, so keep an eye out!

More New Products Today

We have even more new products for the Cuttlebug. Now these things are cool... they're Embossing Plus dies. I haven't tried them yet, but you just have to hold them to see how cool they are. They cut & emboss, and the patterns are amazing (I don't think the packaging does them justice). There are several designs to choose from in A2, 5x7 and other sizes.

Next, we have 2 new lines from Reminisce... Stars & Stripes, and The Wild. They're both cute, fun lines for the summer.

Several new magazines arrived this week, like the new Creating Keepsakes, Somerset Studio, HandCrafted and Stuffed (for you art doll gals).

Plus, I've added some sweet treats to the store - really! We now have frozen treats available for purchase in our 'vending machine' (i.e. the fridge). Just in time for summer, these are great for that late crop night craving, or even if you need to cool off after stopping in. Enjoy what's left of the school year, and we'll see you soon!

Splash Away

Imaginisce's new line is called Splash Dance, and you can scrapbook any cute water-themed fun with these goodies! They have the cutest of all sea creatures on them, perfect for Summer!

New from LYB and more!

Little Yellow Bicycle's newest lines, Pack Your Bags and Boardwalk, are here and are gorgeous! I know some of you had been asking about the Boardwalk line... so cute! The mini album kits are amazing, too.

We also have a slew of new Design Shop stickers from Making Memories. These themed sticker sets are so cute, you just have to see them.

I'm new to the kids' trends, but I've recently become aware of the silly bands, and we now have them at the store. I don't know how long they'll be in stock, but we have a good variety to choose from starting at $1.99/pack.

Special Event planned for July 5th

Some of you may have noticed that we changed up our Freedom Grab this year. We try to keep things fresh and original. The Freedom Grab has been one of our unique events that we've done for years, so we had to come up with an even better event to replace it on July 5th! Please mark your calendars, and plan on making a visit that day. I'm keeping much of the details under wraps because it's such big news. But trust me... you WON'T want to miss this! There will be two different times throughout the day when you could score some serious deals! We'll be looking for you in the morning or evening (or both), but you'll have to stay tuned to find out more.

We have the two newest lines from My Mind's Eye - So Sophie and Meadowlark. So Sophie is a mix of the most popular patterns, as well as plenty of new ones, in a wide variety of colors! Meadowlark fills a niche... something many of you have asked for - all black & white!

A box arrived from Pioneer Albums, bringing us some new post-bound scrapbooks as well as several photo albums. We also have several new themes from Moxxie, like amusement park, wizardry and t-ball... enjoy!

It's a Flower Frenzy!

Fawn, one of our fabulous Design Team members, whose work you all love, is offering a class at Scrappy Chic! We love flowers, so she's offering you an opportunity to learn how to make handmade flowers for your pages... a Flower Frenzy! You'll create three 12x12 layouts, each with unique handmade flowers on them using limited-edition papers from We R Memory Keepers (adorable). The class is coming up soon... Wed 6/16 at 6:30pm, and it's $22. But be sure to sign up soon, as supplies only allow a limited number of participants to learn these beautiful flower techniques!

I Almost Forgot...

We have a ton of new goodies from 7 Gypsies! Some of it is from the Avignon line, new gaffer tapes, etc. But we also have the newest in their trays, and these things are amazing - you just have to see them in person. Imagine what you could do with this receipt holder tray...

A Lot of Goodness Goin' On

That's what we've got! The yard sale, by the way, was another crazy busy one, which we love. Now that we're tidying up from that, I can tell you about what else we have that's new and exciting.

The newest line from Studio Calico is here, although we're just now finding time to put it on the shelf (be patient, grasshopper). This new Documentary line is great - especially for those of us who are camera hogs!

There are tons of new goodies from Making Memories... Panorama is their newest travel line, and it's all checked in! There are papers, embellishments, even albums to match this amazing release. There are also new Slice Design Cards: Parties, Summer, Bon Appetit, Paws & Claws, Remember This and Hodge Podge Fonts. Whew - that's a lot!

Yard Sale gift cards will be available for pickup in the morning for sellers. What a turnout it was! We also have a couple of Melodee Cousineau's kits available for sale for those who weren't able to take one of her classes (which were amazing, by the way). They're only here while supplies last, so check them out next time you're in!

What's New These Days?

A lot, I must say! Where do I start? Well, I mentioned we had the new lines from Bo Bunny, but did I mentioned we added all of the Double Dot paper colors? I'll admit it, I do really like them. I just never knew where we'd find room to put them! We also added a new line of glitter dot paper which is just as adorable. So there are tons of dot papers to choose from now... how fun.

I also mentioned we were adding new markers to the store, and they are now in stock. We have 72 colors of Copic Ciao markers (a much larger selection of marker colors than we had previously) as well as a large assortment of brush markers (dual-tipped) from Tombow. We hope you like the new selection, with its variety of tips and colors.

Fans of the Cricut will like what we have for storing your cartridges... C Gull has come out with a new line of bags (in a variety of colors, no less) to store up to 72 cartridges, keypads & booklets, among other things! I love the style - looks like a retro bowling bag of some sort. On the subject of the Cricut, we have a few new cartridges in stock that we've been waiting for. We have Preserves, as well as the three new seasonals - Summer in Paris, Summer Vacation and Independence Day. All of our Cricut cartridges are marked down to a new, lower price, including the newest releases.

We also have a slew of new Cuttlebug products just in! There are tons (and I mean it) of new embossing folders and sets. We just received our first shipment of extended Cuttlebug cutting plates, as well.

Shall we move on? We also have two new lines from Fancy Pants - Like Father Like Son (great boy/guy line) and Wishful Thinking (you guessed it - a more fancy, girly line). These should be on the shelf by Wednesday afternoon for you to ogle. :)
