Happy Sunday everyone!! It's Lisa here from the design team (and so excited about that too!!!) My hubby has gone away for the weekend so I've been busy creating. After seeing Chris' post about the contest on Little Yellow Bicycle blog I thought I'd check it out.....and the following pictures are my result. I had these pictures from last fall and the colours Matthew is wearing and the acorn in his hand...it just screams the twig collection, yes?! The papers and embellishments are all from the Twig collection and then I added white letters for "Matthew" from Basic Grey and the small strip of green leaf paper from BG as well. So you'll have to check out their blog and see the other entries as well....have you picked up some of this fun line? Would love to see your layouts as well!!

Where do you find inspiration?
Hi Ladies. It's Fawn from the Design Team here to post my very first-ever blog entry. You know, when I applied for a DT position, I was hoping it would push me a bit and boy, has it ever! I wanted to expand my creative horizons and that has certainly happened. But I've also had the amazing opportunities of joining Chris and Liz at CHA in LA, teaching a few classes, meeting lots of you wonderfully creative women, and now (thanks to Angela) have learned to blog! What an incredible experience this has been.
When I meet Angela at the store this afternoon for my blog lesson, I was thrilled to see that so many new products had arrived. Have you noticed the new Three Bugs in a Rug Chloe line with its adorable bicycles? I think it will be darling paired with the Kaiser Craft Long Ticket Album - the "ticket to ride" die cuts will really tie it all together. Stop at Scrappy Chic soon to see what might inspire you!
Oh My... it's all so new!
Well, we have tons more to share with you! There is so much that we've been rotating out inventory on the shelves more than ever! We have a new butterfly line from K & Co. - gorgeous! There are 3 new lines from Sassfras: Ellie's Tale, Sweetly Smitten, and Starters. I love Starters, because it's still Sassfras, but taken down a notch on the kooky... a line anyone can appreciate.
We have several new lines from KaiserCraft, like Chanteuse (lovely pinks & greens), Nan's Favourites (a kitchen-inspired line), Timeless Collection (a great, vintage basics line), a school line, fairy princess line and more. There are new wood products, like frames, and some great mini alphas and crocheted flowers. You have to see it all to appreciate it.
Imaginisce has a new collection, called Berrylicious, that is just that. It's deliciously cute, and ready to be used for springtime memories.

3 Bugs In a Rug - Texture
Hi there! Its Liz from the Design Team here today to share my latest layout!
This month I got some great paper from 3 Bugs in a Rug. The color combo is great - I love anything with orange and blue together. This line has some great papers and cute banner stickers but not many other embellishments - for me I love texture and depth.
My solution was to create it myself! The quilted paper I used for the background comes as one sheet. I used it to cut out the blocks and raise some of them up with pop dots. I also inked the edges to give it more depth.
I created my picture/journal area and added larger pop dots to that and placed it over the other squares - kinda hard to explain but I hope you can see it in the pictures. Last, I had cut a few stars to add to the side and used my white pen to add fake stitching around the edges.
Since I had a bunch of scraps left over from my project I figured I would make a quick card while I was at it! The banner and papers are from the same line, the card is 6x6 cut from a sheet of Bo Bunny double dot paper.
(Other products used - Kaiser Craft stamps, Cosmo Cricket letter stickers and misc buttons)
Be sure to stop by the store and check out all the great new products that have come in! I have my eye on lots of the new Prima - Heading there tonight to score some for myself :)

Prima is here!
We just opened and started inputting the new products from Prima! They are as gorgeous in person as they were at the show. We think you'll love the new bling, gems, lace and more. There are several new paper lines with coordinating embellishments, like Moulin Rouge, Sparkling Spring (which is used on the mini book sample on the counter at the store), Madeline, Melody and Reflections. These orders are notorious for taking a little longer because of just how many items we order. So please be patient as we work through it to get it on the shelf as soon as possible for you to enjoy.

Udpates from the Weekend
We have been dilligently unpacking boxes and entering merchandise through the weekend. We're hoping to have it all in before the yard sale tomorrow. So here's what else we unpacked...
We have new dies from QuicKutz, and have restocked some staple items of theirs. We also have several new lines from Moxxie in themes like pets, St. Patrick's Day, doctor and more. Die Cuts with a View arrived, and I think you'll like what's new from them! They have 12x24 adhesive-backed paper pads in glitter, patterns and solids - these will work great with the Cricut Expression machines! We received more floral collections from K & Co. - flowers are it! There are tons of new papers and embellishments from Paper House - lots of travel and themes.
We also received a huge order from American Crafts/Pebbles! American Crafts brings us Hello Sunshine, Confetti, Peachy Keen and Camping Trail (reports are in - it's cute!). Pebbles includes Everafter and Happy Go Lucky. All the collections include new embellishments the companies are trying out. Check them out!
New Jewelry Lines in Stock!
We have a few new lines from Blue Moon and others... We have a line called Joker, and it's packed full of fun, iconic charms & pendants. You'll find a bunch of beautiful charms in the new Angel line. Tonal Duets marries gold- and silver-t0nes beautifully. And last, but not least, is my new favorite - Fairy Tale! This line mixes colors you'd find on Tinkerbell with Alice in Wonderland themed charms.

A Little More Detail
I thought I'd give you a taste of the new lines... it's always fun to see what they're about! The new lines we received from My Mind's Eye are amazing! There is an extension to the Lush line, which coordinates well with the new Stella and Rose collection, also in stock. Plus, there's a mini collection called Good Day Sunshine that I think will be a hit as well.
The collection we ordered from Echo Park, For the Record, is very Scrappy Chic! I love the retro feel too it, and the colors are just fantastic together. There are even coordinating solids that come with the line to make paper matching easier.
We also received a batch of new Sizzix dies, which include a couple of Tim's dies, some embossing folders, and I must say - the new flower and border dies are awesome! There's a project on the counter (the one we did with Tim Holtz) using the dress form die we just received - be sure to check that one out.
Twig Time
Hi there!
Angela here from the Design Team -- and I'd like to share a colorful layout with you today! Little Yellow Bicycle's Twig line has gorgeous colors and tons of great details to add to layouts and cards. It's just cheery! Take a look:
My photo mat, journaling spot, and hand-trimmed leaves are all from Twig papers, and the glittered chipboard shapes and pins from the line match perfectly. Don't you just love those blues and greens? They'd fit so many occasions, including these concert shots from last summer. Oh, and I used some 7gypsies tape and gorgeous new ribbon from May Arts, which are also available in the store.
A word about pins:
For awhile, I wasn't sure what to do with all those cute scrappy pins -- and then a lightbulb went off! On almost every layout I make, something gets popped up on foam tape or squares, and that foam makes a perfect, very secure spot to stick some pins! That's just what I've done above my title here.
Another solution I've come up with is to add earring backs or crimp beads to the ends if they're exposed, or to use a pair of jewelry wire cutters to trim off the pointy bits. No more stuck fingers, and no more holes in the page protectors!
I'm sure you've already noticed (see Chris's post below), but man, the shelves at Scrappy Chic are about to be crowded to overflowing with all kinds of great new lines -- when I was in the store the other day, the piles of boxes were pretty immense!
Will I see any of you at the Yard Sale on Sunday? Hope so -- great deals all around, plus a chance to see some great new goodies as well!
Until then -- Happy Scrapping!!

What's New So Far This Week?
A lot, that's for sure! Today alone we received 16 boxes! For starters, we have the new Tim Holtz Distress Stains from Ranger. I had the opportunity to 'paint' with these on the canvas on the counter at the store (you must see it - so cool) while I was in Ranger's class. It's such an easy fluid dye to use! I think there are 12 colors of stain. We also have the two new color sets of Perfect Pearls - Confections and Cafe - both amazing colors. All the new Stickles colors arrived as well - they remind me of the 80s, for sure!
Nikki Sivils is new and in stock. We haven't carried a lot of her lines in the past, but I think you'll like what's new in her products.
Echo Park is new to Scrappy Chic - we really like this new line as well. This one, as well as the new lines from My Mind's Eye, QuicKutz and more should be put out by this weekend. Those who follow our blog know that this time of year is always like Christmas... something new to open every time you look!
KI Calandar Pages
Hello! Its Liz here from the design team. We thought this year we would mix it up a little and have the design team members share some of our projects with you here on the blog!
Today I would like to share this quick layout I made using the new KI memories calendar pages.
Instead of using it for an entire month, I used it to recap my week vacation in Disney! I really like this idea and see myself using it a lot. Some of the photos I used on here did not really make sense to use as big pictures on a scrapbook page - but they were perfect for snapshots from our day.
I printed my pictures at 1in squares using Photoshop, but you could use the photos from index cards that you get when developing your photos - those would fit perfect as well!
Products Used:
The paper squares, flowers and letter stickers are all Basic Grey Hopscotch line. The colors look perfect with the light blue calendar! The stamps 'december' are Studio Calico alpha stamps - my favorite.
Have a great day!
Liz
