I love the look of Amy Tan's sketchbook papers. So I thought that I would take some inspiration from her and try my hand at water coloring. I used Ranger Distress Markers, water color paper, water color paints, punches, Nestabilities dies, Archival ink, and stamps.
Next chose your color palette - cool or warm colors or keep it simple and pick 2 or 3 colors from the pattern paper you like. It is helpful to leave some white space. To get the splattered effect - use distress markers to place dots on paper and spritz with water. Cut out various shapes with Nestabilities (I used label #8) or punches. Finally, layer your die cuts with stamps, rub-ons, cute brads, washi tape or stickers.
