Will You Be There?

Are you planning on attending our Open House this Sat 3/31 from 1-4pm?  If so, we'd love it if you could bring someone new to scrapbooking!  We have some things to share even if you can't bring someone, so no worries... 

• We'll have Sue, our massage therapist who visits our weekend crops and special events, available for $1/minute massages.
• Try a sampling of food from Rocky's Rotisserie or a snack while you're here - see what our crop food is all about.
• Need to stock up on solid cardstock?  We'll have a great deal on Bazzill 12x12 cardstock that day!
• We'll have Design Team members on hand to answer questions and offer ideas.
• Never cropped before?  We'll have croppers working on their own projects in our new crop rooms that day.  Take a stroll around and see what cropping is all about.  Don't worry - our customers don't bite!
• See just how smart our store is... Bring your smart phone and look for QR codes throughout the store.  You'd be surprised how much information is available at the click of a button!
• We're putting together a prize; Be sure to enter the drawing - you could win!

Please note that, especially on the day of our open house, we ask that customers refrain from bringing in oversized purses or bags with them.  We will be happy to store your large purse for you if you need to bring it with you.

New LYB, Bella Blvd, Imaginisce and More

The boxes show no signs of stopping (think Willy Wonka)...  We continue to get our CHA orders, and are getting to know the delivery guys well.  Today we put out Swoon, a wedding line from Little Yellow Bicycle.  We also received the latest Summer collection from Imaginisce.  We have several new lines from Bella Blvd., like Sunshine & Happiness, Baby Boy, and Baby Girl. There were still a few more boxes to go through when I left there earlier, so I'm sure we'll have much more to post this week!

New Anna Griffin and K & Company

Over the weekend, the girls put out some new lines from Anna Griffin - two very beautiful, floral collections.  We also added a few new lines from K & Company, one of which is a beautiful seaside collection from Tim Coffey.  Check them out next time you're in!

New Publications Arrived

We received a huge shipment of books from Northridge Media...  Their latest in the Signature Series features Kristine McKay.  With an eye for adding just the right touches of detail, Kristine can take anything and make it beautiful, useful, and inspiring.  In her new book you will see that she is a natural artist and she shows her readers her talents in a wide variety of mediums. 

We also have the latest Scrapbook Trends, Cards, Cricut Magazines and project magazines - all hot off the press!

Echo Park it is! Plus, SMASH it, Again!

Note to self:  Need to take home one of each of Note to Self from Echo Park!  It's adorable!  There is also a new mini series of themed papers from Echo Park that are very versatile - all up front today. 

We also have the new SMASH folios and accessories!  There's a baby book, wedding book, and two extra large Smash books!  Get 'em before they're gone like hotcakes...

New from Lily Bee

 Lily Bee's collections were so cute this time around! There are four new collections: Buttercup, Handmade, Victoria Park and Double Dutch. I noticed we have them in the computer, just need to find a home for them in the store.


Keep in mind, when you're walking around the store looking for new products, some of them are mixed in with the existing products in the aisles. We have so much new stuff, there's no more room to feature it on the end of the aisle. So be thorough when you shop - you don't want to miss a thing!

I Have to Tell You About This...

We saw the most beautiful mini album kits when we were at CHA from Teresa Collins.  Well, we ordered them (minus one of the months), and the first kit arrived this week!  It features the Everyday Moments line, and comes with metal embellishments, some bling and all.  These gorgeous mini album kits use the most recent collections, and are only $19.99!  Get yours while they're still in stock... On display now!

We R Memory Keeper's latest retailer-exclusive collection is Anthologie.  This line is gorgeous (especially the stamps), using vintage flair and just a hint of glitter.  We hope you'll like it, too!

New Spellbinders and More

We have new dies from Spellbinders in stock!  They've really been coming out with some great dies, that's for sure. 

We also have new scrapbook albums for military, baseball and police.  We can get other unique albums like these, but you should check out the ones we received.  They're made with actual shirts - very nice!

New Studio Calico Stamps from Hero Arts

This is so cool...  A while ago, many of you were looking for some stamps from Studio Calico.  They were outlined words and other similar stamps.  Now that Hero Arts is making their stamps, some of these cool designs have come back!  The girls are working on getting these stamps in the computer today - so fun!

Wanted: Good Samaritans

Whether it's today's economy, or just timeless, shoplifting and theft is an occurance that happens all too often.  Shoplifters and theives are even responsible for putting small shops out of business.  I don't want to see my favorite stores go out of business, nor do our customers don't want to see us close.  So I'm hoping you, our valued customers, will help us as good samaritans.  If you see suspicious activity, like customers changing price tags, or putting items in a purse or bag instead of a cart, please let us know.  Every time someone steals from us, they're stealing from you - raising prices and taking product away from our paying customers.  I'd be more than happy to reward someone who plays a part in catching a shoplifter.  My 6- and 8-year-old children know it's wrong to steal.  Adults should know better, right?! Thank you, in advance, for your help as a good samaritan.

New from Tim Holtz & Heidi Swapp!

We just received some great shipments this week.  More Tim Holtz is in the house!  We have pulleys, faucet knobs, mini gears and numerals, clock keys and more!

We also received our Heidi Swapp order today.  Sugar Chic reminds me of the 80s and is full of bold colors and patterns.  We're working on getting this on a shelf for you soon.

Phew!

This was one busy weekend!  I was so happy to hear we had a big crowd, including several from out of town.  We had products in boxes out on tables so our customers could look through them before they went on the shelf.  This week our plan is to get the products out before this week's wave rolls in (yes, there's always more).  Here's what is out for purchase (on the shelf or on the table)...

Bazzill has new paper collections that are gorgeous!  Wayfarer, Vintage Marketplace (from Margie Romney-Aslett) and Dino-Mite include papers and embellishments (even washi tape).  New products from Tim Holtz arrived!  We have several of his new Idea-Ology items, as well as his new book and the Paper Valise.  More KaiserCraft came in - Technologic (robots and gears) and Tigerlilly are both great.  Fancy Pants' new collections, Childhood and Be You, are also in stock.  Plus, Basic Grey arrived!  Their most recent lines, Konnichiwa and Plumeria, are in stock and gorgeous.  We have new products from Queen & Co.  There is a series of great papers in the basics, as well as a variety of washi tapes and twine spools.  Simple Stories is also here, and there are three new lines - Documented (neutrals), Fabulous (girl line) and Awesome (boy line that really is awesome).  Cosmo Cricket's latest lines are here, too.  The four lines include Evangeline, Baby Jane, Twenty-Three (my favorite) and Tea for Two.  There is also washi tape to coordinate with these lines.

Phew!  There are still more boxes to get into our computers, but we're working quickly and putting in extra hours.  Stay tuned for more updates!

 

Traffic Jam

Yes, we're having a traffic jam of sorts at Scrappy Chic.  We have tons of new products we want to blog about, but it's just taking us a little longer to get them on the shelf.  Can you believe that we have so many new papers that we ran out of trays for them?!  This happens once in a while, but never on this scale.  I guess the saying is true - the bigger the purse the more you'll find to put in it.  Stay tuned for updates soon!

Graphic 45 Has Arrived

The new lines from Graphic 45 are finally here!  We have Little Darlings, Olde Curiosity Shoppe and the Kraft Reflections line.  Each lines has a full assortment of papers as well as stickers and die cuts.  They also released some new metal embellishments, like clothespins!

I love adding pictures and my input on new collections, but I can't even keep up they're coming in so quickly!  So much so fast means some of them don't even make it on an endcap.  So be sure to peruse the aisle, as there are new collections mixed in with the others, like Jenni Bowlin and Bo Bunny.  You never know what you'll find down each aisle!

New Glue Glider Adhesive

Have you seen the new purple Glue Glider refills?  Wondered what that as all about?  Here's the scoop...  Changing direction and adhesive type is now a snap with the GlueGlider Pro+ cartridges.  Glideability is better than ever and reversible cartridges give precise directional control with an easy flip of the cartridge. Want to go forward, back or curve around? Now you can.

I tried the new refills at CHA, and was surprised to see how easy it is to use.  The strength and type of adhesive is the same - just the cartridge has changed.  If you like the way yours works, you can still use the pink refills until they're gone (maybe even stock up if you like pink).  But the purples will be replacing the pink ones from the manufacturer entirely.
