New Tattered Angels
We received the new Limited Edition colors from Tattered Angels this week. They include cinammon, huckleberry, auburn & khaki - very cool colors! We also got more Glimmer Screens back in stock, as well as other colors. There are several new products they released at the show, like new Glimmer Chips and Glimmer Glass. But I suppose we'll have to patiently wait for them.

New Scrapbooks Etc. Digital Scrapbooking 2 is here!
For those interested in (or addicted to) digital scrapbooking, this is a great magazine! There's a full side-by-side comparison of digital software and digital storage solutions, tips & tricks, tons of layout ideas and more. I'm not necessarily a digital scrapper (although I do everything else digitally), but this one got me wanting to learn more.
Kits, Anyone?
We're back in the swing of putting together fun and interesting (not to mention cost-saving) kits for our customers! I've done an $8.99 kit ($15 value) with oranges & blues. Erin put together a very cool $29.99 kit ($47 value) full of teen boy stuff... think Grungeboard, skulls (yes, she included die cuts from the Indie Art Cricut cartridge), paint, Stickles, even instructions & supplies to make an accordian book and more! Quantities are limited, and when they're gone, they're gone.

Weekend Crop Goodness
We're midway through our weekend crop, and we did our big drawings this evening. We gave away some great prizes this time, including an XXL rolling tote, a Cricut cartridge and more! Our Grand Prize winner was Kelly and she was so happy! Dottie won the cartridge, and Kathy (our endless winner) won two prizes! Carol and Jen also won goodies. One more day to go, with massages and breakfast for Sunday. Our weekend crops are so much fun, we're looking forward to the next one in October.

I'm going to wrapping up any interviews for part-time sales person by this weekend. If you, or someone you know, is interested (and is extremely nice), please get an application in right away! I'm looking for someone who is able to work evenings, weekends, etc. Reliability and professionalism are a must, creativity is a bonus!

New Imaginisce Arrived last week...
While we were at the show, the new Hallowhimsy & Snowy Jo lines arrived! They are adorable! Hallowhimsy has glossy accents here & there, and is double-sided. Snowy Jo is glittered and sweet, also 2-sided. Of course, Imaginisce always does up the $0.99 stamps, and these are no exception. I know it's early to start thinking about Halloween & Christmas, but the lines are starting to reflect these themes.

One more for the evening...
Wow!
I just got an email from my Mom and the kids back at home... they were sending a 'we miss you' email, and the photo attached was so cute, I just had to post it. As you can see, my Mom and I got a little carried away after learning how to make sock monkeys (thanks, Wendy!). Needless to say, the kids have a few. The baby one is my new favorite.
Live from Chicago!
Where do I start? The girls are all starstruck, as everyone is here at the show. Staci has photos of Ali Edwards, Tim Holtz & Heidi Swapp together (I'm sure they'll be on her blog later as well). Jenny & Erin are having a great time (along with a little goofing around), and we've all been spending some serious time deciding what to choose for all of you! So while we're waiting for our chinese food to be delivered, we came downstairs to blog and hang out. We're winding down, as tomorrow we'll be at the show one last time, then we'll pack up the van and head out on the road. I can't believe how many goodies and samples we have to show everyone when we get back. We have a very cool plan (wish I could take credit for the idea) for displaying what we will be getting... you'll see soon!
We tried to stay in our budget for most of the products we planned to purchase, but went a little over in some (you'll be glad). See you all when we return!

Crop Room Goodies
I hadn't thought much about it until I looked at Staci's recent blog entry (see link at right for her blog). We have an old typewriter that a customer graciously gave to us in the crop room! Staci & Allison were breaking it in the other day, and it looks like it's a welcome addition to our crop room tools!
We've always had wi-fi in our crop room (but it wasn't turned on). So now it is - hooray! You can bring your laptops and get your digi on, or whatever you like to surf while you're there. So we are officially a wireless destination! Speaking of wireless, I need to get my laptop and 100 other digital components (camera, phone, chargers, etc.) packed before we hit the road tomorrow.

Crafter's Worshop New Templates
We received a batch of new Crafter's Workshop stencils, and they are very cool. You can use these things for drawing, painting, misting (esp. with Glimmer Mist), inking and more. They wipe clean and store easily, both in 6x6 and 12x12 sizes.
I feel like my blog is so black & white these days. I can't wait until we get more new colorful products to brighten up the blog!

Shopping Spree Video
I got it to work! Between borrowing the correct cable I lost somehow, and a few upgrades here & there to get in tune with Vista, I have the video from the Freedom Grab! I tried to shorten it a little so it wouldn't be so long, but it's still a few minutes. Enjoy!!!! (sorry, Jeniece - I know you were counting on it not working).

Heading into a busy weekend...
Well, after a full house tonight (really full), I'm exhausted. Can you tell? I'm blogging at 1:30am! I'm usually a night owl, but especially lately. Speaking of which, do you know a night owl who is looking for a part-time job? Katie's last day was tonight (yes, we are all very sad), and I need to find a back-up closer for Fridays. There are only a couple of us able to work that late shift, so I'll need to find another. If you know someone who would be a good fit (you know I have high standards), send them our way!
Tomorrow you have competitor coupon day to look forward to (well, actually today). Erin and I have been ogling the new product sneak peeks we've been receiving before we go to CHA next week. There are tons of very cool things coming out. Ranger & Tim Holtz are coming out with some extensions to the Distress line of products (I'm very excited about that), and there are tons more we've yet to explore.

60-Second Shopping Spree was a blast!
I told those at the store on Saturday I'd post the video I took of the shopping spree. Well, I'm having a little difficulty with some Vista compatibility issues (blah, blah, blah), and I'm hoping to be able to post it here for you all to see. It was very funny, and our winners (yes, that's plural) did great! Carrie Cooper was our 60-Second Freedom Grab winner, and she grabbed almost $250 worth of stuff (mostly paper stacks - wow). In my excitement, I gave away a 30-second spree, which Jeniece Tackett won. She managed to clean me out of her favorite adhesive refills (and other goods) totalling almost $150! Then, just as I did before, I gave away even more! Tricia Wilson won a 15-second shopping spree, and got away with $85 of Cricut & Cuttlebug goodies! But I didn't stop there. Everyone else who came that morning received 40% off an item of their choice! It was madness and fun all rolled into one (with one crazy lady on a ladder - me!). I hope everyone who participated had fun, but most of all I'm glad we are able to give back to our customers for their support.
