New Week, New Products

I hope everyone enjoyed their Holidays so far!  We have at least a couple new collections from KaiserCraft in this week, as well as new products from EK Success/Martha Stewart! 

For those who purchased (or were lucky enough to receive) our bonus store credit with a gift card purchase before Christmas, you can begin using those today.  They are good through 12/31, so stop in and get yourself something good... for FREE!

Back in the Loop

... Because I've apparently been out of it for the last couple of weeks. :)  This time of year not only brings joy, but it brings a hustle and bustle that keeps us busy like no other time of year can.  We do have some new products, like the latest release of stamps and accessories from Hero Arts.  Did you miss the new release event the other day?  That's ok - there are still plenty of Hero Arts goods on the shelf that are new and amazing. 

We delivered the donated goods for the local family we adopted, and the school staff was most impressed with the haul.  Our customers are amazing, and it's wonderful what we can do when we give back.  Many thanks to everyone who participated!

What's New at Scrappy Chic?

 A lot, as usual... Have you been waiting to see the new Distress Stains from Tim Holtz and Ranger? We've got the full assortment up at the counter - they're so bright and cool!


We have some new collections from KaiserCraft (they're coming out with quite a bit these days). We have 365 Days (a calendar collection), Tropicana, and Secret Admirer.

We also have the latest Designer Series magazine from Northridge Media, featuring none other than Kelly Purkey! Check it out next time you're in.

New This Week

We did finally get the Make It Merry collection from October Afternoon, for those who were waiting on that.  It's adorable!  We also received the latest from Teresa Collins - Now & Then.  I love the colors in this new collection, very nostalgic.  We hope you love it, too!

Helping a Family in Need

This year, we've decided to adopt a local family again for the Holidays.  The family we'll be collecting gifts for has four children.  I've posted their sizes and wish list here.  I will be collecting the unwrapped donations until Wed 12/19.  A donated gift will earn you a shopping discount, as well.  So you can do something good and get something good in return.

I hope you'll consider assisting us with this project again.  We love to be able to help out children in our community, especially this time of year.

Sizzix and Tim Holtz Dies are In!

I didn't get a chance to blog about this sooner, with the holiday and weekend sales...  But I wanted to make sure you knew that we finally got the new dies and embossing folders from Sizzix and Tim Holtz!  Woo hoo!  There are some great ones to choose from for Fall and Winter.

Black Friday Sales

I finally finished our Black Friday Promotions Flyer!  We have some amazing deals in store for our customers the weekend after Thanksgiving.  We'll be open at 8AM on Friday 11/23, with regular business hours the remainder of the weekend.  There is still room in the crops, but Friday is filling up quickly.  There are deals in the morning, and other that last all weekend.  We hope to see you there!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Today is Scrappy Chic's 6th Anniversary.  My baby's growing up!  To some of you, this probably doesn't mean too much.  But to those of us who have been around since the beginning, we know this means so much...  So much growth, change, highs and lows, seeing friends come and go, seeing stores open and close, and more.  Who would have thought that we'd be where we are now?!

Last Day to Enter the Golden Ticket Giveaway

Carta Bella

I almost forgot...  We have a new collection from Carta Bella this week, too!  Their latest line, Happy Little Moments, designed by Carina Gardner, is also compatible with the Photo Freedom system, and has some amazing colors!  Be sure to add that to your wish list!

Echo Park It!

We have some great new products in from Echo Park!  They just released their new Photo Freedom collection.  Photo Freedom is a quick and easy approach to memory keeping.  The Photo Freedom system comes together quickly for a beautiful, handmade-looking album.  Watch for products that include the "Photo Freedom Compatible" seal.  This seal of approval lets you know the product coordinates perfectly with other products in the Photo Freedom system.  The system can be used alone or works well with other tools and embellishments you choose to add. 

Photo Freedom coordinates with the Big Picture classes you find online. Echo Park plans on releasing new paper collections for this system on a regular basis. We have the first two collections in stock now - Today's Story (designed by Allison Kreft, formerly of Hambly) and Dear Santa.

 

 

Echo Park also released their new Winter Wishes collection - adorable purples and blues, perfect for that season that shall not yet be mentioned. We also have two new sets of collection packs - Dots & Stripes - in two color schemes. Adorable!

A Couple More

We have some more new collections that came in this week. I tell ya' - it's nonstop with the new goods these days! We received the new Valentine's line (I think they start earlier each year) from My Mind's Eye, called Lucky in Love. We also have two more new collections from KaiserCraft - Merry & Bright and Pickled Pear (love this one). There are a few more new wooden items from KaiserCraft, too, that should be on the shelf by the weekend.

Catching Up

I realized it's been almost a week since my last post! I better get you all up to speed on what's new. :)

We have several new lines from KaiserCraft: Just Believe, Save the Date, Sears & Son (love this vintage man line), Turtle Dove, and Twig & Berry collections. We also have new shadow box drawers, a new advent calendar shaped like a tree, and some great oversized memory frames (I'm thinking of decorating a couple to hang at home).

We also have My Mind's Eye's Lost & Found 3 collection on the shelf (it took a while to find room for that one).

There are new stamps from Stampendous - both clear and clings! We also have several new Cricut cartridges, like Snow Folks and Suburbia (I LOVE this one!). A small batch of Tim Holtz products came in from District Market, as well as his Frosted Film (better late than never, right?).

We also have three new collections from Bazzill - School Days, Miss Teagen Sue and a great Heritage line.

Bo Bunny is In!

Bo Bunny has released 3 new collections, and they're all in the store. We have Powder Mountain, Snow Day and Love Letters (yes, I know it's a little early for Valentine's Day, but I have no self-control). Mary took some time today completely revamping the Bo Bunny aisle, which is where you'll find all of the new goodies. Be sure to check out her hard work and the amazing products from Bo Bunny.

Help Wanted

Scrappy Chic is currently looking to fill two part-time positions.  If you're looking for a job that's more positive, creative and fun, then fill out an application and get it back to Chris...  We're scheduling interviews soon.  Here are the two positions:

Part-time Sales:  Looking for someone with a flexible schedule, who is available weekday afternoons, weekend days and evenings, working 1-4 days/week.

Marketing Intern/Assistant:  Looking for someone with experience in social media, marketing and who has an interest in putting their skills to work on several projects for the store.  This position is temporary, but could turn into a long-term one if there is a good fit.  Hours vary from week to week.

So Excited about American Crafts and Friends...

I love it! American Crafts, and its partners Crate Paper and Studio Calico, have sent us quite a shipment. For starters, we have the new Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic collection - amazing! There are some new albums, including Amy Tangerine designs, that you simply must see in person. Secondly, Crate Paper's new On Trend collection is adorable (I must take it all). There's also more from Studio Calico - new masks, wood veneers, Mister Hueys, you name it! It's all in stock and on the shelves now for you to adore. See you soon!

Ooh La La, So Much New!

I'd say this is a typical week at Scrappy Chic of getting new products in, but it just keeps getting better.  So I can only say it's better than the last week.  We have several new things, some of which the girls are still working on putting on the shelf.

• Cropper Hopper - new paper and sticker storage cases: They are redesigned now to fit in the Ikea Expedit shelving units!
• Making Memories is back!  They have a few new collections (some of which we've been waiting for quite some time on) - Children at Play (designed by SarahJane), Modern Millinery, and Believe.
• Colorbok - We have their new Antique Paperie collection
• Best Creation - New papers with glitter: Circus Circus, Meow and Vintage Story
• KI Memories - They're also back in the game with some amazing new Washi tape (one even has clouds on it, so cute) and Flashback collection (think Polaroids).
• We R Memory Keepers - We have the new Tab Punches and matching stickers (great for mini albums) and the new Yuletide collection.
• Technique Tuesday - New December Daily stamps and Perspectives page kits by Ali Edwards!
• Silhouette - Great news!  We now are able to carry the Cameo machine and its accessories.  We have one for sale in the store if you'd like to see what it's about.

I took a peek into some other boxes that we still need to unpack.  I will give you a hint as to what I saw so far... First name Amy, ends in an orange fruit!  Stay tuned - hopefully we'll have this ready by the end of the weekend for you.  Crop on, ladies!





Glitz it Up!

We just received our Glitz order today, and it's gorgeous! The girls have been working on getting it all in the computer, and I can't wait to pick through it for myself. The new lines are Cashmere Dame, Hello Friend and Yours Truly - yes, please! Stop by to check it out for yourself this weekend...

American Crafts and Friends

We received a large shipment from American Crafts and their partner companies this week...

Studio Calico has two new collections: Yearbook and Classic Calico 3.  There are tons of great embellishments, even new Mr. Hueys, that go with the lines.

Pebbles has a new Walnut Grove collection that we think is adorable, and Amy Tangerine has a new collection for American Crafts.  Check it all out next time you're in!
