Weekend Crop
We've passed the halfway point in our weekend crop, and the pressure was on as participants raced to finish layouts before the drawing deadline! We've given away many prizes so far, with more to come. But our big prize drawing was tonight, and we had several winners! Some were Margeret E. (twice), our Golden Ticket winner Kathy D. (twice), Kristen S. and Julie E. Our grand prize winner of an iPod was Amy M. - she always wins something! The girls are in for a treat when the massage therapist shows up tomorrow!

New Cricut Cartridges, Rusty Pickle are Here
We have the new Cricut Solutions cartridges available for rent. We are still waiting for additional cartridges, which will be available for purchase. In the meantime, I encourage you to check them out at http://www.cricut.com/. So far, we have Weddings, Soccer, Baseball, Indie Icons and Home Accents. They say these are mini cartridges, but there's nothing mini about how many characters are on them! I think I mentioned in an earlier post we received the Winnie the Pooh cartridges as well.
Two more Rusty Pickle lines arrived - Under the Stars (my favorite!) and Pop Star. Pop Star is an adorable black & white line, but I can't say enough good things about Under the Stars. This line has guys/boys (and adventurous girls) written all over it. It's all about the outdoors. Be sure to get yours while it's in stock!

New K & Co. & NSD Update
We received some new K & Co. Blue Awning paper & stickers today - beautiful stuff! I'm also getting very excited about National Scrapbooking Day (Saturday, 5/3). We're going to have some awesome specials (to be announced soon) and will be demonstrating tons of cool products all day. I keep coming up with cool things to add to the list of specials, I'm just itching to tell you! I do know we'll have something special for our first 20 or so shoppers, and it will be a ton of fun! Please consider joining us, and consider it a great opportunity to introduce a friend to scrapbooking - they'll get to play with tools and products while they visit.

Cuttlebug Instructor Wanted
I'm looking for someone who would be interested in teaching a Cuttlebug Class series. It would work similarly to our Cricut classes, and be held 1-4 times per month based on demand. It's a great opportunity to earn some extra scrapbooking money (or for bills I suppose), and would be a lot of fun. The potential instructor should be a whiz with the Cuttlebug, and ideally own a variety of supplies to demonstrate. The store would supply paper products for the students to use. Please call or email me if you're intersted! I'm looking to get something started right away.

Yard Sale Update
Our next Scrapbooking Yard Sale is scheduled for Sunday, 5/18, from 11am to 6pm. With that in mind, there are only a handful of seller spots available. If you have a bunch of scrapbooking-related things you no longer want, consider selling them at the sale! Sellers receive store credit for whatever goes, and I can vouch for the fact that many people have made some great scrapbooking supply money from this sale! You don't even need to be there - you price and organize your goods, spend a little time browsing and/or shopping, come back after the sale to pick up (or donate) what didn't sell, and you have your gift card 48 hours later! Because we're limiting the number of sellers, we need everyone who signs up to be sure they are selling to make this a success. We've also come up with a couple improvements from previous sales to try to speed up the checkout process. One of those improvements is that we've added an extra hour of shopping from 11am to noon (and less waiting for the sale to open). We plan to have a second checkout station in the back to get you cashed out faster, and hopefully I won't have a sick child to manage that day. With that, I encourage you to participate - whether you're selling or buying. I know you'll find some great deals!

New Stuff, etc.
We've had several deliveries the last couple days, a couple with new products. We have the new 7 Gypsies ATC punch (perfect to attach anything to your ATC or photo spinner, or just to add a cool look to something on your pages). The Imaginisce $1 stamps are shipping once again, and we have the adorable penguin stamps back in stock! We received a couple new Vegas papers (very cool in foil) from Sandylion.
I mentioned in a previous post that the Cricuts are back in stock. But what I'm intersted in knowing is what everyone would think of a Cricut Club? If you were to participate, what would you hope to get from it? Let me know your thoughts! Enjoy the nice weather this week, and don't forget to take lots of pictures!

Cricuts are here!
Finally, we have some Cricuts back in stock! ProvoCraft has had them backordered for a while, but they have arrived. But there aren't many, so if you're interested you'll need to act fast. Our Cricut classes are still filling up, so keep an eye on June. There may be openings in the late May classes still as well, but call the store when you're ready to reserve your spot to be sure.
We are still expecting new products we ordered at the show. It just seems we've hit a little lull in the shipments (which is welcomed considering how much new product we've received lately). Stay tuned and we'll keep you updated on what's new and in stock!

The Bus is Over 1/2 Full
For those of you considering taking the Summer Fling Bus Tour in June, I encourage you to book your seat soon. The bus departing from Scrappy Chic is over half full already! We've had a great response, and it is going to be a great time! Keep in mind, we'll also be promoting this at Mega Meet, but our customers get first dibs! For more info, visit www.MichiganScrapbookStores.com. See you on the bus!

Collage Press is Restocked!
For those of you patiently awaiting another shipment of Collage Press, you'll be happy to know it's in! We've got more stamps, alpha cards, and even more papers than before. Hopefully I have enough for everyone now. It's weird having a little break in between new shipments, but that's ok. There are still several piles waiting to be put out that don't have a home yet.
I did get a notice that some of the Cricut products are on their way, but still no new mini cartridges or tool kits. Hopefully they'll be available soon! I'll keep everyone posted. In the meantime, enjoy Spring!

More 7 Gypsies and Creative Imaginations
We got some more 7G in today, including the new photo carousels! They're like the ATC rotating card holders, but larger with photo sleeves. Imagine the cool display of mini pages you could create with this!
We also received some of the new Creative Imaginations paper and goodies. One line is hilarious - it's detective-themed with one paper claiming "It Wasn't Me". Christine Adolph's new Felicity line is beautiful, complete with silver foiled hearts and florals. Their "I'm Pregnant" series of papers captures each trimester. I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting, but they are all such fun themes!

Basic Grey has Arrived!
Finally... Basic Grey is on the shelf! It's about time, and it was well worth the wait. These 5 lines are so awesome! Archaic is very earthy and even sports a few dinosaurs. Boxer really looks like patterns you'd find in your hubby's dresser (I think this line is a favorite for many). Cupcake is great for a party and more. Sugared is sweet with its pinks and earthtones. Last, but not least, Sultry is very artsy with bold off-beat color combos. Check them out for yourself next time you're in!
