Art Gone Wild is IN!

Well, this was one order I wasn't expecting to receive so soon!  We have three new Tim Holtz stencils - hearts, doily and latticework.  There are also new stamps from Wendy Vecchi and Dyan Reavely, and Tim Holtz.  This is only a portion of the stamps and stencils we ordered from Art Gone Wild at the show, but it's a good sampling!

By the way, we also received the three new dies from Tim Holtz - Jumbo Tattered Florals and two other foliage dies - hot items!

2013 A year of my favorite projects...

Wow! Where did 2013 go? I can't believe 2013 has come and gone. It really seems like yesterday that I was trying out for the Scrappy Chic design team. I first want to say a huge thank you to Chris for allowing me to be apart of a great team. I have had a blast creating for the design team. So without any further delay here are my 10 favorite projects I've created this past year.

Themes Abound!

If you're into scrapbooking by theme, we've got you covered this week!  We have new collections from Reminisce for Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day.  We also have tons (a full box) of new Jolee's embellishments covering tons of subjects.

Hopefully that'll hold you over until the new CHA releases start arriving, which we'll see very soon.

Live From CHA in Anaheim, CA!

The blog has been quiet while Michele, Terri and I do some shopping at CHA in California.  We're ordering goodies for all of you, which will be arriving from the time we get back until later this Spring.  We're excited about many of the products we saw, but here are some of our favorites:

• Chris' faves: New albums and paper collections from We R, nautical stamps & dies from Tim Holtz and the new baby collections coming soon.
• Michele's faves: Mini blending tool from Ranger, Graphic 45's ATC box, new marker tool from Ranger, and insta-pages from several manufacturers.  She's also looking forward to the new Julie Nutting stamps from Prima.
• Terri's faves: We R Washi Tape accessories, Teresa Collins' new albums, Framelet dies from Tim Holtz/Sizzix, and the new tool from Spellbinders (think chad removal).  She's excited about the new varieties of enamel dots, too.

It was a productive show.  It's not over yet, but we are heading home in the morning.  We had lots of decisions to make over the last few days, but it was fun.  We're looking forward to sharing the new products we ordered with you when they come in.  From Anaheim, CA...  We'll be seeing you back in the chill zone soon!

Can you believe that 2013 has come to and end and we are jumping head first into 2014?!!  There was so much amazing product introduced this year and I was lucky enough to get my hands on a bunch of it...I totally enjoyed designing and creating for Scrappy Chic and hope that you were inspired to create your own masterpieces!!

Snow Day

Hello, fellow snowed-in crafters!  We opened this morning, but the roads are just too messy to justify hanging around today.  We'll be closed at noon for the day, and will make a call about tomorrow in the morning.  Many of you know that we rarely close.  We value our customers' and employees' safety, so today is the exception.  Be safe out there!

Lanette's 2013 Recap!

Wait, what,really 2014, where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday that 2013 Design Team met for the first time. I have had so much fun with these ladies, I really can't believe this term is coming to an end. But before this term is officially over I thought I would stop by and share a few of my favorite projects that I have created for the store this past year. So here they are no particular order, enjoy!

I just love Crate Paper, something I never knew before I started designing for the store. I think that this Maggie Holmes collection is one of my all time favorite collections!

This fun little mini chipboard album using Echo Park's Love Story Collection. We even had a class for it too!

I just love Kaisercraft and the 75 Cents collection is amazing!

I loved working with Authentique Be(you)tiful collection but really who doesn't love working with Authentique. 

I had so much fun adding color using Tim Holtz distress inks

 to Authentique's Irresastiable Collection.

More Kaisercraft, don't you just love the colors in the Summer Breeze Collection.

Now I struggle with Fancy Pants...

But I love this layout using the Collection Moments Collection.

Like everyone else in the world I love Bo Bunny! 

The Zip-A-Dee Doodle was so fun,

 I loved adding gelatos, mist and molding paste to this layout.

I truly love this canvas using Pink Paislee's Cottage Farm Collection.

 I created this for Mega Meet and the class after at the store was a blast!

I did make a few cards (very few) I'm not really a card maker. 

I created this card using Echo Park's Fall Reflections Collection. 

Now the Autumn Harvest Collection by Bazzill really had me worried but, I just love how my harvest pumpkin turned out!

Last my Christmas canvas using Pink Paislee's Snow Village Collection and lots of Tim Holtz and Inka Gold.

I've had so much fun designing for the store over the past two years.  I just love to see all the new collections and create with lines I never would have picked on my own. I truly enjoy sharing my creations with all of you and I hope something has inspired you to try something new too!
