I now have photos of the Birthday Bash album class that Andrea Deer, from Creative Imaginations, will be teaching on Thurs 11/6! Donna Downey Class Update

We are getting closer to Donna's visit, so I thought I'd post an update for those still considering taking one or more of her classes. This is a rare opportunity for you to learn from a scrapbooking icon. There are still seats available in Donna's classes. Friday night (11/6) she's teaching an amazing mixed media album I think you'll all love! Saturday (11/7) she'll be teaching a layout class in the morning, then her super-cool Fabric Scrapbooking class in the evening (a no-sew class). She'll also be available for photo opportunities between classes - let us print a picture of you and Donna out while you shop! On Sunday (11/8) she'll be teaching her Swatches, which I'm told is a great compliment to the Fabric Album class.

I'm so excited that we have students coming from all over the place - other states, even other countries! Ok, I know Canada's close, but how cool is that?! It's beautiful! This new holiday line from Brenda Walton is amazing. I'm impressed by the embellishments - high quality and unlike any others. This is definitely one holiday line worth checking out.

Karen Foster in 9 New Themes

Yes, 9 themes! We have new Karen Foster paper and embellishments in brothers, sisters, military, princess, St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day, twins and winter. They even have new themed albums, which we're hoping will arrive soon.

Basic Grey Nook & Pantry and more...

It's here, and I love it. This line is yummy - it's full of adorable foods perfect for recipe books, pages about food, or anything fun!

We also just received a new line of Jolee's and Sticko embellishments & stickers from EK Success. These things cover the whole range of subjects. Be sure to keep an eye out for them next time you're in.

Computer Upgrades

We've spent most of yesterday and today dealing with 'issues' that come with upgrading software. Imagine spending 8-10 hours straight dealing with tech support, reassuring you that they know much more than you. Ugh! After a lot of headaches and waiting, loggin in and out, we can assure you we now have state of the art credit card security! Your personal information has always been safe with us, but now your information is even safer! We are actually ahead of deadlines to be compliant with new regulations. I know this may be a boring post, but I'm just happy to be done with the upgrade.

New tools from EK Success

Do you take your scrapbook supplies by plane? Many tools are prohibited from carry-ons, including scissors. EK Success has a new pair of travel scissors that are airplane approved! There's also a new Circle Scissor tool - a simple no frills cutting and drawing tool for circles of all sizes.

It's getting spooky in here!

I just have to post this picture because I was totally surprised (pleasantly) when I came into the store today. Mary created the most adorable Halloween display in the foyer! If there were ever a shabby chic Halloween display, this is it! Be sure to stop in so you can admire it in person (and get some cool Halloween decorating ideas). She and her daughters even made spiders from beads! While you're there, you can check out the miniature Basic Grey dress I made with the Eerie paper line.

It's a good week for deliveries. It's raining nonstop anyway, you may as well scrapbook! Here's what we've received (and I'm totally excited)!

The new lines from Webster's Pages are finally here! The embellishments are gorgeous, and include self-adhesive cameos! The trim packages are to die for, and the paper is divine. We also received some new Christmas papers from KaiserCraft, as well as a slew of new food papers.
I'm so happy to have the new Nutmeg Fall line from Cosmo Cricket - and right on time! We'll try to get this one on the shelf Saturday - it's absolutely adorable! Hope you can check it out soon.

More Pink Paislee?

The new Mistletoe & Co. line arrived today, and it's gorgeous! I really loved the new products we saw at CHA from Pink Paislee, so I'm glad to finally see them in the store. I think we ordered everything, who knows. When I see stuff this cute, I just go cross-eyed and quickly place an order.

New Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas is in!

The newest Christmas line from LYB, 25 Days of Christmas, is in and on the shelf! They've done it again with another amazing line of papers (with tons of coordinating embellishments). As usual, the releases from LYB are in limited edition so when they're gone, they're gone. I have a feeling the mini book and matching die cut paper won't last long - they make mini books a snap!

New QuicKutz Release!

We kicked off the new QK die release with a visit from our QK Ambassador, Sandy, tonight! The new line is a series of paper dolls and accessories! Just wait and see what you can create with these versatile dies! There are tons of theme/character sets, like firefighter, ballerina, sports uniforms and more. In addition to the traditional paper doll sets (in both 2x2 and 4x4 sizes), there's also a fashion doll set that's amazing as well as an adorable new 4x8 alphabet set! COC Fundraiser a huge success!

Vikki Thomas hosted a fundraiser at the store today for Community Outreach Centers, a network of non-profit housing corporations that provide services for persons with developmental disabilities. She filled both crop rooms, and gave away over $2,000 in prizes! The food was amazing, the participants had fun, and they raised a ton for their organization! Great job, Vikki and friends, congratulations on a successful event!

7G Printer's Trays are here

These awesome printer's trays from 7 Gypsies are amazing - you can use them for so many different purposes! My favorite is the collaged wall art, using each tray for a different memoir or collage. They come in a dark, rich color wood with a sturdy metal handle (perfect for hanging on the wall if you choose).

QuicKutz New Release Party Planned!

Would you like to know what the next new series of dies will be from QuicKutz? We're going to show you at our QuicKutz New Release Party on Tues 10/6 from 6pm to 9pm!
