Yet More Today!

We thought the UPS guy brought us a lot yesterday.  Just when we thought we were ahead of it, he delivered 14 more today!

You know those Mat Stacks from DieCuts with a View?  We have some great new ones, including a Neon Chic stack, which is hot!  There's some beautiful papers in the stacks, and another that's all about the Snapshots.

There are new Spring and Doily dies just in from QuicKutz / Lifestyle Crafts...  Beautiful shapes that work with any manual die-cutting machine!

We have another great new marker storage system from Crafter's Companion.  This system uses racks that can be stacked vertically, side-by-side, and even angled back for better viewing.  This system is great for those of you who don't take your markers on the road - a real desk storage system.  Plus, we are offering a great bargain when you buy multiples - tell the girls and go in on a bunch together to save big!

We have a couple new Valentine's lines - one from Bella Blvd., and another from Pink Paislee - both gorgeous!

I posted recently on our blog that our distributor is now carrying Die-Namics dies from My Favorite Things.  Many of you had been asking about these, and will be happy to know we now have them in stock!  There were several that are already claimed, but we'll continue to order the ones you want - just let us know.

I'd say that's all for today, but I'm sure the girls were busy after I spoke to them.  We're all anxious to get through those other 14 boxes.  I'm sure the delivery guys will be back again before the weekend.  It's getting exciting around here!

What's New Today?

We have some great new books from F&W Media - books on digital photography, mixed media, art journaling and more!

We also have the latest new themed collections from Moxxie - sports, Easter, western and a few others.  There were also a couple boxes that arrived from Sandylion/Trends.  These are great themed/character stickers and papers, featuring your favorites like Disney, Hello Kitty, Marvel characters, etc.

The girls should have it out by later this evening.  But there are even more boxes that arrived today, so hang out and get comfy!

Snow Brings More Goods

It's a good thing UPS and FedEx deliver under snowy, slick road conditions.  They brought us even more boxes today!  Here's what we've opened up since I blogged last...

Ranger - The new Distress Paint dabbers from Tim Holtz are here! We should have these on the shelf by Tuesday evening. We also got some more of his seasonal stamps sets.

We also received new products from Stampendous. They've joined in on the neon craze, and we have new neon fragments (think mica). There are also several new colors of glitter - very hot right now! These should also be out tomorrow. There are so many more boxes to get through, so we'll keep you posted as we reveal what's inside!

Tim Holtz Glitter Technique

I mentioned a tip for using the Ranger/Tim Holtz Rock Candy glitter on our Facebook page the other day... Karen, from our Design Team, let me know she's used this technique and loves it!  Karen used this technique on the cover of her Christmas mini album she made for the Design Team, with a snowman, using Echo Park.  The colored glitter is on his sleeves.  She used stream and meadow Alcohol Inks along with her handwriting traced and cut out with the Silhouette.  Just add the Alcohol Ink to your Rock Candy Glitter, and voila!  Thanks, Karen!

CHA Day 2

We had a great time today, and managed to get pretty much all of the orders turned in that we needed to finish.  We are very excited about the products we've chosen for the store.  We think you're going to love what we came across.  There's something for everyone, and we can't wait to share it.  But, of course, we do have to wait.  The products that we pre-order at CHA generally arrive from 2 weeks up to 5 months from now.  So, as we play the waiting game, I'll give you a tease of the orders we placed today...
  • 7 Gypsies
  • Webster's Pages (including Allison Kreft's new designs for them)
  • American Crafts, Crate Paper, Studio Calico, Pebbles
  • Becky's Project Life collection (we'll be carrying the complete line, but it won't be released until May)
  • Glitz (I love their nautical line)
  • Maya Road
  • Technique Tuesday (Ali Edwards has tons of adorable new stamp sets)
  • We R Memory Keepers (awesome new rolling tote)
We took a class from SRM tonight, and Mike got his first taste of a fast-paced class where participants cram several projects into 2 hours.  It went by quickly, but we have some great (and mostly finished) project ideas for our customers.

Tonight we packed up all of the goodies to bring home from the show.  We're keeping our fingers crossed that our suitcases (including the 2 extras we have coming home) don't weigh over 50 lbs.  We'll be traveling all day tomorrow, but I'll be glad to share pictures and ideas with everyone after we get back.  Until then, be sure to check out our Facebook page for more pics!

CHA Day 1

Sorry for the delay in blogging about our first show day but, man, were we exhausted last night!  We had a great time (even Mike did).  We bumped into many of our friends, and got to chat with some new ones, like Julie Fei-Fan Balzer!  I don't know how many orders we turned in, but it had to be at least 20.  We have just as many to place today, so you can bet that we probably ordered your favorites.  We have early appointments on the show floor today to take care of some big orders (hint: one of them is two words ending in _ _ oject _ ife).

We went to an event last night for Charity Wings to support breast cancer research.  We got to bid on bras made by some very creative ladies (and guys, too).  We wrapped up the evening with some more order-writing (yes, it's neverending).  Our hotel room is becoming trashed between all of the catalogs and goodies we've picked up.  I know, you want to know what we've ordered, don't you?  Because there are so many, I'll list some of the highlights (and my personal favorites)...
  • Cosmo Cricket (love Honky Tonk)
  • Bo Bunny - if you loved Mama Razzi, look out!
  • New sports and school stamps
  • Tons of new dies from Sizzix
  • KaiserCraft (huge order here - love the new albums)
  • Lawn Fawn - a.dor.a.ble.
  • Little Yellow Bicycle - couldn't turn a thing down
  • May Arts - I love the new ribbon colors!  Totally in line with the latest fashion...
  • Heidi Swapp - fun stuff!
  • Ranger - new paints I think you'll love
  • Simple Stories - new Sn@p!
Don't see your favorite yet?  Don't worry, we still have the whole day today to order it.  If there's something you can't live without, please be sure to let us know on Facebook.  I'll post some pics there for you, too!

Tooling Around SoCal

Since we had so little to do today we decided to take a road trip to Newport Beach. That however, turned into a day long tour of southern California.  Most of you don't know that I'm a bit of a TV junkie.  Not too much TV, but I really get into certain shows.  The funny part about today is that we ended up visiting several stops (not on purpose) that were tied to shows I love(d) and movie spots, which made the traffic bearable.  For those who used to watch the O.C., you'll appreciate that we had lunch at the 'Crab Shack' (aka Crab Cooker), and visited the Wedge (where the surfers hang out and the opening scene of the show was filmed).  We visited the Santa Monica pier, which appears in many movies.  But I remember it best from the movie Lost Boys (think wayyyy back).  We only had a little time to pop into Venice Beach (which has appeared in many a movie, of course).  We're pretty sure the temp here in SoCal was the same as it was back home in MI - about 50 degrees, right?  Wait, we heard it was almost 60 degrees there!  So we're dressed for Winter weather, but enjoying the scenery of the Pacific shoreline.

It's all so that we can be refreshed for tomorrow...  The show floor opens at 10AM (1PM for you folks back home), and we are putting together our plan of attack as we type.  We'll post pics to our FB page when we can, and hope we find some amazing new products for you.  If what we've seen so far is any indication of what's to come, we're all going to be happy campers.  Until then...

We Are Here, We Are Here, We Are Here!

We're at CHA!  Well, we're in Anaheim waiting for CHA to begin.  We've already been to a pre-show today, and placed almost 20 orders!  I can tell you that I've already blown the budget on several orders...  That means what I found was better than expected.  We watched product presentations from some popular brands, like Teresa Collins, Tim Holtz, Echo Park, Lawn Fawn and more.  We even won fifty bucks while we were here!

The weather is unexpectedly chilly here, about 50 degrees.  It's a good thing we brought our winter coats...  We'll be wearing them tomorrow.  We have a day off before the official show starts, and will be resting up so we can be on our toes for CHA on Saturday.  I will most likely post a summary here at the end of our show days, keeping the time difference in mind, later on.  But if you want to know what we're up to during the show, stay tuned to our Facebook page.  I'm also having some difficulty getting pics to upload to the blog, so I'll be posting pics on FB as well.  Stay tuned!

New Product Update

Happy New Year!  As we enter the calm before the storm (we head off to CHA next week), we continue to get new products.  We have new assortments that just arrived from Authentique, and will be out on their spinner rack this weekend.  We have also restocked our Place in Time collection from Graphic 45 - wow, is that line selling quickly!  Keep an eye out for our newsletter this weekend with information galore!
